Once you realize it’s a joke, then all words like happy, sad, evil, sweet, love, hate, etc. are replaced with them in chat.

There’s a “Thank moderator” button for the admins and mods on their full profile. Otherwise, you could always just send a whisper/shout to the user thanking them personally. Same concept, unless you’re meaning a Karma-style system of sorts for public display.

The only scenario where I’d mildly want this for an extremely temporary time… like a day at most… would be if I got my own custom one for *smirx*.

Otherwise, it’s just a colored annoyance of mini clipart that just gets in the way of post portrayal. Even more so if they were animated.

Oh, they’re enough and sometimes too much. Not often, but you do see the occasional post littered with them. Blegh.

Yeah, referrals aren’t really kosher. Don’t worry, I already edited it right away. Didn’t seem like you posted it purely for spam or any real “guilty” reason. Seemed pretty light-hearted.

If you want, you can put the referral link on your profile, though. That way if people want they can follow your profile to the link and it’s not like you’re pushing anything in their face.

As you said, there’s already plenty on formatting elsewhere. Kong has one set up with a little information link to the right as you’re writing your post. There’s also a link in one of the sticky’d threads leading to this thread, which pretty much covers it.

Your intentions may have been good, but we really don’t need another of these floating around, so I’ll go ahead and lock.

Or removing the options to reply, create a thread or change page from the bottom for consistency, but the first one seems far easier and more logical. OCDness! Need symmetry!

I know I could just click on a tag after loading a game or just replace the ending http://www.kongregate.com/tactical-games with whatever for searching by tag. What about searching by two or more tags for refinement in the search? /tactical+strategy+RPG, for example. Not that it would show all games with any of those tags, but only ones with all three.

Unless there’s a way to already do this and I’m just oblivious. Wouldn’t be the first time. *smirx*

This… somewhat. I’ll delete a useless necro post to unbump the thread, but a hide and lock is more like a potential future reference for another forum mod. It’s not like we always tend to the same situations every time, but I do enjoy spamming conversing with the community admins from time to time on issues.

What about the stupid factor of humanity? Does the computer emulate that, as well? Imagine starting a game and your opponent thinks it’s Checkers, but with fancy figures.

If this was made, it’d have to be far from just base Chess to succeed on Kong. Battle animation, silly humor, upgrade/leveling system to unlock other game aspects/variants for a twist, etc. I’d play the shit out of Three Queen Medley (Ménage à Quatre) or The Four Horsemen game variants, for example.

Not sure what the issue is, but it’s most likely on your end since most everyone else seems to be running fine. You sure your browser and Flash are updated? Have any scripts/add-ons running that might interfere with your ability to Kong it up? Etc.

I’m no computer expert, but a little more information on what you’re running and what’s actually happening might help the others to help you remedy the problem. Good luck.

I don’t think money should matter in the least over issues like this. Their game. Their Code of Conduct and Terms of Use. Your choice to agree. Your choice to infringe. Not being banned would seem more like bribery.

If I was running a smash hit multiplayer game, I would let you have the exact same account with a different username.

And there’s the possibility that FO doesn’t have the capabilities to allow this. Kong can do this with accounts, but even that’s a headache. Who knows what Hell it might be in-game.

Otherwise, there’s a sticky in the Fantasy Online forum here on Kong that leads you to their support for discreet… well… support.

I actually like the simplicity and ease of the forums save for two gripes with it. The main one being having no

at the bottom of the page also and the other dealing with forum moderation.

As for the name changing, that only occurs for serious reasons like privacy protection, inappropriate name requiring a change to continue, etc. However, I like the Kred-cost idea of it. I know Microsoft does that with the X-Box, which makes sense. I mean, same concept, but it seems like still a hassle. You’d probably have to have it cost more than 25 Kreds, though, for the hassle of the ordeal equaling the price.

Play it early on so it’s actually challenging and fun(but you’ll then be over-powered for the rest of the game), or play it later on and be stronger for it, making it a boring walkover.

Yeah, I sort of wish Borderlands fully did the Dead Island level-scaling things. I mean, Craw scales up to lvl. 73?, but the normal playthrough guys don’t. Makes things really boring unless you want to jet through.

Zombie Island was my favorite part of the whole game.

Yeah, it was a love/hate thing for me. I started it with a Hellfire SMG and a Volcano sniper. Fire just made everything too easy in Borderlands to begin with. Then almost the entire Zombie Island is super weak against fire.

I’m not sure if the codes work the same as actual purchase download, but when DLC has had “issues” with me in the past, I’d just uninstall and re-install. I haven’t had to do this with any code-gotten downloads, but it’s worked with all of my MS point downloads.

I’m assuming that the code should process a “purchase” in the system to allow you to download for free. That sucks, though. Still, even without one of the four DLCs, Borderlands GotYE should be quite worth your buck.

Zombie Island’s only real strong aspects were a Pulp Fiction achievement reference and the backpack SDU possibly given with each playthrough. The other DLCs increased the level cap by 19 levels, new vehicles, skill point SDUs, etc. So, on the bright side, it’s probably the best one to not have.

EDIT: The wiki says “The mission Skags At The Gate must be completed before travelling to Jakobs Cove becomes available.”

Seems silly, though, if your second playthrough can’t even access it, though. Either way, I wish you luck.

This isn’t really forum thread-worthy, so I’m going to lock it.

Really, I’m sure you’d like to avoid another lock of the thread. Please, utilize private messages or a chat room for chatting back and forth. Just load up any game and choose a room for all of you to chat in. You could even utilize unused rooms so it would be just yourselves. Many of the MMO games have many empty rooms you can change to via “Chat actions”. Dino Run is a good example, too, as it has a game chat you can change to manually. This thread is for posting friend codes. With the spammy nature of the thread, this purpose is diminished as it’s difficult to find viable posts regarding this.

If you add each other as friends (click name, click “add X as friend”), you can look in your friends list (hover over your name at the top of the screen and click on “My Friends”) to see if they’re online and which chat room they are in. This would help remedy curiosity about who is online or not. This would also make the chatting happen in a chat room and not a forum thread.
