The hints should never appear all faded unless the puzzle is solved.

We thought we had fixed this bug but apparently we didn’t. We’ll look into it further.

That info helps, we’ll try to replicate and fix it.

We’ll soon add save slots but we intend to have it save multiple puzzles instead of multiple saves per puzzle. We’ll consider that option though.

@batmanone We’ll look further into it but we’ve been unable to replicate the issue in our initial testing. If you find more specific conditions for the bug to appear please let us know.

@ZeroNobody The issue actually seems to be related to the lack of the account data being sent in some cases. We’re trying to figure it out.

@Halancar Thanks, it’s been fixed!

We’ll consider re-introducing the feature based on player feedback.

The next update is just a couple of days away and it will bring several performance improvements.

No worries. Thanks for the update.

I was unable to replicate your previous issue (after our latest tweaks to the server). Could you please give a step-by-step guide to get it to show the bug?

That helps quite a bit. We’ll investigate if there’s some occasional issue with the account data we’re receiving from Kongregate.

We’re terribly behind in responding individually to your suggestions but rest assured that all of them have been read (and some are now in our to-do list).

There were indeed some server issues (beyond our control) a few days ago. In response we did a few tweaks that should stop puzzle saves/completion to get bugged like before.

@RigelHaloran & fra87 The bug causing that issue should now be fixed.

@andantette It was a temporary problem caused by a pruning of the Plus puzzle database that removed puzzles that were too easy (about 2% of the total).

@Mooniekate I was unable to replicate your issue. Is it still happening for you?

@jennifer626 & batmanone Does it still look like that after a page refresh? It was probably a visual “hiccup” as the database data looks good.

@Pykrete We haven’t made any changes to the online version in a couple of weeks. We also haven’t been able replicate the issue in our own Chrome. Could you please let us know your Chrome version and if there’s a particular game mode that causes this for you?

@Mechsrule1 We haven’t experienced any crashes. What browser/version are you using? In the meanwhile, whenever the game is paused the puzzle is saved (even if you don’t “Save and Quit”) so you can use that to save frequently and progress even with the crashes.

@purgedarkness & muckling Are you able to test it out on a different computer/network? There have been a few isolated reports like yours but it seems to be working for the majority of players and we have been unable to get it to stop working even with very restrictive firewall settings.

We had a similar feature in the past but ended up removing it as it trivialized the challenge.

Instead we have hints around the puzzle that fade as you solve it and we will soon add an undo/redo function.

We’re unlikely to ever add an import option due to several potential issues, but we’ll definitely consider adding an export option so you can treat the editor as a bare-bones painting program and save your work permanently, regardless of what happens to it in the moderation process.

There’s a (very) tiny chance we’ll save it from the rejected pile if we feel the community was too harsh in passing judgement.

However, given the volume of puzzles that process is rather slow (and doesn’t happen regularly).

Apologies for the delay in answering. Between Christmas and the New Year our work schedule got a bit disrupted.

@amoebe & wfaulk We haven’t changed the game since Dec, 18. I imagine it was related to a temporary server outage but assuming the issue remains please send us a direct bug report so we can look into it further.

@lolgast It’s a known issue that we hope to have fixed in a few days.

@Tauya & The_Markness Thanks. We’ll fix that in the next update.

@SkylerF The initial issue was actually the same reported by lolgast. The hints are being incorrectly faded (sometimes). We’ll have it fixed soon and we’ll look into the secondary issue as it’s rather odd. We also have an “undo” function planned for a future update.

@Krolan & genesis198 Your progress did not get wiped. At the time the game was having trouble connecting to the server and “booted” into guest mode (as indicated by the notification that appeared in the middle of the screen).

@Delthin & purgedarkness We had a server outage. Everything should be working properly now.

@Incarnadin Sorry. We’re going to add more save slots very soon!

@meras The issue wouldn’t be the AV but the firewall possibly blocking the port the game uses to communicate with the server. The information we have so far isn’t however conclusive.

@GreyFleece You can also right click on any point of the line to break the link. We’re planning to redo all the tutorials in the next update and that information will surely be added to it.

Badge issues are resolved by Kongregate, not by the devs.

That’s really strange! We’ll try to investigate further with that new piece of information. Thanks.

If anyone else has had this issue please post details of your experience as it will help us track it down.

@meras Does this happen all the time? I’m beginning to think there are some firewalls blocking the port used to connect to the puzzle server. What kind of firewall are you using?

@SkorpionGemini Yes, half a dozen updates and hundreds of comment replies in the month since release are a clear indicator we just don’t care.

@lolgast We didn’t change the floating tips, but we have plans to make them stand out more. We’ll probably add the ability to hold WASD to go in that direction continuously.

@torinthiel You can edit a post instead of posting multiple times. We’ll consider your suggestions, thanks.

@Antwan2 We have a “log” system in the works, it will show this information.

@rainety I apologise but the database simply isn’t setup to handle something like that at the moment. I’ll make note of your concern however and we’ll see if it’s something we can change in the future.

@Pukster That’s a pretty cool idea. We’ll add it in the next update!

@1337al & @operationfailed & @purgedarkness Probably a server “hiccup” that wasn’t caught by the timeout system. We’ll look over that code to try and make it more responsive.

@Lphillips Just fixed it (again). We’ve stopped tweaking old puzzles for the time being so it should work without any issues in the foreseeable future.

@calamitates It’s probably related to the bug the following poster mentioned. There’s some sort of issue with visible/invisible links that we need to find.

@y654 Thanks for the detailed report! We were able to replicate it and will have it fixed in the next build.

@LeiCi Picma is not the typical vectorial Flash game, we work mostly with raster images and as such a quality button would do nothing. We are however trying to improve performance with each build.

@ankh_ascendant The next update should see those improved.

@NickadO Just hold CTRL or use WASD.
