First of all, please do not just rage quit this game just because you got killed over and over by a veteran player. (cough cough) Just because the matchmaking sucks because of the sudden influx of newbies does not mean that the game sucks.

Tips- Feel free to comment and add on.

1. Don’t be too aggressive unless you are completely sure of your safety.
2. Look at the minimap often.
3. Find one ship that suits your playstyle and practice, practice, and practice.
4. Make sure to go the depot especially when you have a full cargo of ATOMs or are low on health. Even if you have a few hundred atoms, still go to the depot. Also, half health is when you should really start to think about going back to depot.
5. If you are dying alot, consider playing as more of a support ship such as SS Venture or Iron Wolf. Or just play supportively and defensively.
6. Never take down turrets by just sitting right in front of them. Rick:DON’T stand in front of them or they will kick your butt in two seconds. To just add on to this, make sure to stay safe while attacking it. But jabberwocky can sit in front of a turret and deflect bullets off his blade and just keep sending shrapnetic bladies at the turret and not take any damage. Either camp behind a wall like a circe or IW, or stay far away like an ant or undul.
7. Communicate with your team.
8. Try not to die, it only gives the enemy team lots of farm.
9. Make sure to try the ship out in practice mode before in order to get used to the various abilities. Also assess your opponents in live match before engaging. For example, an ant should not pick a fight with a dread. Rick: Just don’t pick fights unless you know how to kill the other guy. (Very true)
10. Have fun and don’t camp around. Be active, whether you are playing defensively or offensively. Don’t be depressed by losses. You need losses in order to gain experience.
11. Learn the map. Bumping into things may be the difference between escaping and dying.
12. For certain ships, going reverse and shooting is much better than just turning around and going full afterburners. This applies mostly for ant and undulorean.
13. Certain ships are harder to master than others.

I am not exactly the best player in the game but I am decent. This post is open to questions and comments.

Yeah, fancy flying is very useful. In this one match, a ss venture was chasing after me. I was on very low life (200). I just needed to make it to safety of the depot. I was already at the 3 mid turrets that were already down. I was soon at 100 health and I though I was screwed. I tried a last juke with 50 health left and it worked. The venture was taking some serious damage from my teammates and I had survived.

As for the hirudo killing turrets, I usually pop the insoulator first just for some damage. This is approximately lower the turret down to half health if you have maxed shadow circuit, neutron overload, and insoulator. Then I start circling without afterburners. This is the tricky part. Shadow circuit does a lot of damage up close so tight circles is key. It usually takes me 3 shadow circuits and 1 neutron to take a rainmaker down.

@Kiech Thank you for those tips. I know these tips. I can PvP easily in the hirudo but hirudo simply is not that defensive. I commonly go harass the ant due to its low energy pool. I usually manage to force it back. But it is also hard to backdoor with the hirudo because it isn’t really that good at taking down turrets. It needs a teammate or distraction. Also, it is mainly that some of my teammates can’t seem to hold the front line by themselves. This requires my help and assistance in order to make sure those 3 crucial turrets don’t fall. Since I can’t be everywhere at once, I need someone else to defend unless they are already harassing someone else. I will defend if someone is backdooring while I am at my depot or when I have a decent amount of health. As for rolling through mid, it is certainly tough when everyone is hungry for levels. Everyone is generally pretty squishy and we really need to steamroll through with masses of drone support. But I thank you for your tips and I will pass them on to my teammates in the future.

@Kiech I don’t drive people away from this game. I really want to see more people actually playing this game. I am just saying that I don’t think that solo structure killing should be allowed. Either increase tower range, buff it up, increase regen, increase dmg etc. I don’t want 2 ships just to be so OP that having it on your team will guarantee a win.

Even though many ppl are disagreeing with master, i have to say that he does have a point. If the other team has a clank and an ant, you will automatically lose unless you have a undul, clank, and an ant. I hate all this backdooring simply because most MOBAs simply do not allow this backdooring. Take LOL and DotA for example. NO ONE IS RUNNING AROUND SLAUGHTERING STRUCTURES SOLO. It takes a dedicated push from the whole team to take it down. Ever since I started playing as a hirudo, i notice more and more backdooring that I can’t really defend because the hirudo isn’t that fast. Plus, going up against a clank in a hirudo is also dangerous due to the massive shotgun dmg. 1/3 my health is gone from one blast! Just add the wall as an escape to that as well. As for the ant, it is so speedy and the teleportation is so OP because of the 40s? CD. All they do is run in, kill off 1-2 turrets and tp out. What can you do? Nothing. Especially when mid is getting pushed and the ant is having fun with 2 batts and the clank is also having fun with the other 2 batts. So the defenders have to defend 4 batts, mid, and the second emitter? Thats impossible. Especially when one of your teammates doesn’t even KNOW HOW TO USE AFTERBURNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even though my rating right now is really low(1197), i am not that noob that feeds the other team and doesn’t really know how to do anything. I know how to play a hirudo and I have to say this backdooring really needs to stop especially with this OP clank/ant. NERF THEM! I can’t continuously use my hirudo as a defender since it is a harasser/semi-pusher/semi-hunter. I want this MOBA to be a even mix of PvP and PvE. NOT ALL PVE! I DON"T THINK THAT A SINGLE SHIP SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE DOWN STRUCTURES. STOP THIS SOLO BACKDOORING!
