Another Update: I’ve re-read some of the blitting tutorials online and got it working.

Thank you all for ur suggestions. However, I noticed some lag issues on debugger and on the webpage (the webpage loads faster).

Any suggestions to optimize this?

I had a feeling that it’s not something I could fix ultimately.

But I’m a bit confused with blitting. I thought what I’ve programmed was blitting.

Unless you mean that bitmap canvases should be added to the DisplayObject and the sprite classes themselves.

I’ve made a small update based on your recommendations. It’s getting slightly better.

Update: I also noticed that the scale variables were also responsible for the layering problems.

I’ve been perfecting my game engine for an RTS game, but I am currently having trouble with the sprites layering on top of each other.

I find that whenever there are around 22 sprites on top of each other at certain points, the transparency suddenly stops working.

I tried searching this on the internet, but found this article that didn’t give me satisfying results:

I’ll may as well show what me and my partner has done so far:

The game is gonna be a mix of Stick War and Starwish, if any1 doesn’t know.
Currently, 2 out of the 7 playable units sprite sheet have been completed, with about 3-6% overall completion with the project!

Atm, I’m really struggling with making a simple preloader ><

I think I might hv to ditch doing that tomorrow if I don’t get anymore success. I’m not sure if I wanna use the two swf preloader method either (as I may have to convert it into a single swf at some point. I actually hvn’t tried making a single preloader yet though)

For sprite animation, maybe half manga-ish and half simple.

Background can have decent details.

For partial VN, Manga-style art would b recommended, unless doing manga art hinders your art style of course!

As for revenue, I can’t give you an exact percentage (due to some other people I asked for may not be involved), but the percentage will be based on how many people are involed altogether (for example, 2 ppl helping me will be receiving a third of the revenue shares)

I’ll w8 for other artist to come here before I make my move.
