Jragronlord, you must have not played it out then. star gems are everywhere. you could get 100-200 per booty run. i just got 2k today. a lot of people are buying a bunch of stuff they couldn’t before. prices are way lower (except roids)… example… QS is now 50 SG… energize is 7 SG… if you’re asking for access to premium stuff, it’s here now.

Ah, didn’t know that was changed too. Honestly, I hear “Game’s cancelled!” and it doesn’t exactly inspire me to hunt down this stuff. =/ Thanks for letting me know.

I know you all spent a lot of time making this game, and pulling the plug on it isn’t what you want to do as a company, because you have to admit it didn’t go as well as hoped, but if you’re going to force us to stop, you need to make it good for us in our last days. Logging in to get 6 Star Gems? I don’t mean to sound ungrateful, but I’m going to cite my recent experience with Legacy of Heroes, which, in the not-too-distant past, also announced it would be coming to a permanent close.

The first day I came into the game, after the notification that the plug had been pulled, I received my log-in bonus. Where I had been expecting another throw-away card in the game, I found 2000 Legacy Coins (their premium currency). This meant that, for the short time left on the game, if I were to get even a tenth of this amount each time I subsequently logged in, I was still able to enjoy the ability to buy most of the premium content in the game, but not simply buy my way through it; I still had to have a measure of skill.

I urge you to consider a similar prospect with the final days of Outernauts on Kongregate. Allow the players here to enjoy end-game content, or bundles that all-but-require purchasing premium currency, like Diamond Egg 6-Packs, by giving us, on a daily basis, a large volume of Star Gems with each log-in, that we may enjoy all of the features you put in Outernauts, before they are permanently revoked.

Suggestion: Change the Alliance Challenge system so that it pulls only from Alliances within a small range of the rank of your Alliance. For example, if you’re Rank 25, your challenge will be randomly from within +/- 5 ranks (Ranks 20-30). Having a system that’s completely random and allowing up-and-coming Alliances get crushed because they’re up-and-coming, not well-established and full of people with top-tier beasts, is a poor system. If you’re familiar with the League Challenge system from Legacy of Heroes, that’s what I’m suggesting – take a leaf out of their book.

Topic: Outernauts / Showdown STAR GEMS spread (POLL)

Blutor: Simple solution is to have the system automatically give a percent of the SGs to each player that participated, based on how much Alliance EXP they earned for the Alliance in that period. Requires each account have two new number fields added on the back end, meaning the overhead is small, and prevents bias.

Something has to be done for the people on the bottom of the totem pole; without some sort of subsidy there, the divide simply grows between the highest and the lowest to insurmountable proportions. Perhaps a small SG reward for the absolute lowest-ranking Alliance? Presumably, if they’re there, they’re getting CREAMED over and over, and could use the bump to buy something to better their odds… It does encourage lowballing, but that’s mitigated by (1) requiring that you don’t get rewards unless you have started at least X amount of challenges, (2) requiring a non-zero exp total above a certain value to earn rewards, and (3) not awarding the lowball SG reward if 2+ Alliances have the same total.

I’m on the first part of the Sector 6 Quest “Infiltration”. I did not get all three key cards for the Sludge Co Quarry Outer Gate, despite defeating all three Miners; I’m missing Card 1. I submitted help ticket #2112 four days ago, and have not received more than a “Hey, when did this happen?” (direct quote) in reply, despite my replies.

At login, my daily reward was a Glory pack of the “Rift” type. Problem is, I went into the deck builder to open it up, and it didn’t show, nor did it show through the Shop interface. I haven’t tried buying a Glory-Rift pack, and I’m not exactly concerned about not getting it, but you may need to check the code behind it, to make sure it’s not a localized glitch.

Having the Monday Night Draft centered on GMT essentially becomes a punishment for anyone in another time zone. I’ll use myself as an example – being in PST (GMT -8), the Monday “Night” Draft falls in the middle of the afternoon, and I’m unable to join, and obtain the reasonably significant rewards of the MND as a result. I use myself as an example, but I think it’s more than fair to say I represent a fair number of players.

Here’s the fix: Each player gets a time zone when they create their account, and then their time zone is locked on their account. It wouldn’t surprise me if this could be pulled from the computer’s local time information. If their local time is within the appropriate time, they can acquire the rewards of the MND. Otherwise, the draft happens as normal, and no one misses out because of their global location.

Not really an issue. the MND last long enough for you to get on at some point. I am not sure how many hours it actually is exactly. But I am PST as well and get on at about 2 am and it is still going. Players have plenty of time to get on and get the rewards no matter what time zone they may be in.

I tried to test that same theory last Monday. I logged on a little before midnight, and unless there’s an issue wherein it says “Monday Night Heroes starts in” (and whatever time it said) while the MNH is going on, it was over. Therefore, some fix ought to be made – maybe it’s as minor as something that adds to the Draft screen saying MNH is happening (or making it more obvious if there is one, since I’ve never seen it), maybe it’s as hefty as the time zone issue.

Having 2+ Neighborhood Watch cards in hand when an enemy uses an Ally card causes both NWs to be expended on the one Ally. Encountered during third stack of Daddy-O-Bots in the “Nerds Forever!” mission of the “Candy Inside Razor Blades” issue. Enemy played “Docile Daddy-O-Bot” and triggered the ploy effect of two NWs in my hand.

… I’d put the match’s log here, but I don’t have it. My game client disconnected at the end of the match.

Better than a “more HP” condition would be remaining percentage of HP. This encourages players to consider the abilities of the commander as well as their HP. Otherwise, the fact that I was able to arrange a stalemate after scratching my opponent will have no bearing, simply because they started with more HP.
