Topic: Galaxy Online / Server01 & 03 Merger on April 25th

Commanders, the Developers of Galaxy Online II are pleased to announce an exciting server merger! With this merger, all players can interact with their friends from other servers in GO II. This means more FRIENDS, more FUN, and definitely much more ACTION! Do you have what it takes to beat the best players from the other servers? Let’s find out!

In an effort to boost player interaction while restructuring the playing field, we will be merging Server01 & 03 on April 25th.
1. Servers S01.Ursa Major and S03.Pegasus will be brought down at 01:00am (GMT-5), April 25th and brought back online as Servers S01 Ursa Major.
2. The process will last approximately 2 hours. The exact completion time will depend on the progress of the server merge. The servers will be open as soon as possible.
3. If the server merging process is completed before estimated time, the server will be open at an earlier time.
4. Please do not purchase any Mall Points for an account linked to any of these servers involved during the merger to avoid any unnecessary losses.
5. During the period of time, Server 04 will still be accessible.

Rewards:
After the server-merge finishes, players will receive
>>1000 vouchers (S01.Ursa Major)
>>2000 vouchers (S03.Pegasus)
>>Adv Galaxy Transfer*1 (S01.Ursa Major & S03.Pegasus)

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Should any problems occur prior to the switch, the developers of Galaxy Online II will do their best to announce them before the merger begins.

Merger Rules
1. All player IDs will be changed automatically.
2. All fleets not stationed at a player’s home planet will be dismissed automatically.
3. All active Resource Pack Boosters will be paused during the merger and reactivated after the switch has completed.
4. The possibility of duplicate names across servers has been considered. Character and Corps name matches from S01.Ursa Major and S03.Pegasus will be renamed with a numerical suffix.
5. All open requests to join Corps and Corps event information will be deleted.
6. All Resource Bonus Planets will be vacated and controlled by Computer Pirates. All Corps will be compensated for their losses based on the level of the Space Station within their respective RBPs.
7. All active battles will cease immediately with all remaining warships sent back to their home planets when the servers are brought down.
8. All individual League Match ranks will remain unchanged.
9. Any Lv1-10 profile that has been inactive for 14 days or more will be deleted during the merger.
10. All players’ friend lists will be cleared.
11. All in-game messages will be deleted during the server merger. Please take all unclaimed items out of your mailbox before the merger. The developers of GOII will NOT be responsible for any loss caused by this.
12. It is advised to 1) withdraw any current ongoing auctions in the auction house, and 2) ensure there are no ships currently undergoing repairs in the shipyard prior to the server merger to minimize the chances of data loss during the merger process. The Galaxy Online II team will NOT take any responsibility nor compensate for losses incurred from the above methods after the merger.
13. All unclaimed Metal Resource Comsats and He3 Resource Comsats in Subsidiary Territories will be removed during the merger.
14. Players from the old S.01 & S.03 server will be given a random new location for their Home Planets after the server merge.

IGG reserves the rights to final interpretation of the merger, its rules, and rewards.

Content Update:

1. New Commander: Luna Silvestri
Commander Bio: Luna is a faithful servant of the Federation, having received the best tutelage from its most renowned academy. But she wasn’t born into privilege. Over a decade ago, the Space Pirates invaded and annexed her home, an off-the-grid moon where the Homeric System used to be. Although she managed to escape, her family was enslaved. Luna’s gifts helped her stand out among the refugees, quickly earning the favor and admiration of Federation leaders who saw her vast potential as a future Federation Fleets Commander. She now pursues a single-minded quest to free the galaxy from the oppression and ruin of the Space Pirates.

Skill: Moon’s Blessing
Description: Has a chance during her Movement Phase to gain an ability that allows her attacks this round to reduce the target’s max Shields and Structures by 90%, her fleets to gain Adaptive Formation, and increases Stability until the end of the round. Affected by Speed and Dodge attributes.

Can be recruited by drawing Commander Cards.

2. Added 3 new Tesla-Class Flagships. Blueprints can be obtained from the Champions’ Mall or through Tesla Merging.

  • Terra Scorpirex’ attributes after highest research:

Increases Critical Strike and Double Attack rate by 100% and Penetration DMG by 30% for ships in the fleet.

  • Abyssal Scylla’s attributes after highest research:

Reduces DMG taken by 30% for ships in this fleet. Damage negation modules also negate an extra 120 DMG and restores Shields by 100% if the fleet moved during any round.

  • Caerulex Ladon’s attributes after highest research:

Increases Scattering DMG by 30%, Movement by 12 (up to a max of 16), and Retaliates 30% of DMG taken when hit for ships in this fleet.

3. Players now have a chance to obtain the GFS-Vengeance and Zefram-MK42 from the Compounding Center using Blueprint Shreds.

1. Added a Discard All option for removing several items from the Bag.

2. Added a Generate All option for Huma Chips. You can enter the amount of Huma Chips you want to buy in a single transaction.

3. Added latest Light Armor Cruiser – Valentine Victory. Requires the Independence Mk2-III research to unlock. You can get this blueprint from the Champions’ Mall.
Valentine Victory’s attributes are similar to Tesla Ships although it is classified as a Special Hull. This ship has the following attributes when researched to Grade III:
>> Light Armor (Reduces damage taken); (Cruiser);
>>Tachyon Pulse (Damage Negation Armor modules including Energy Armor and Armstrong Radion Armor can negate an additional 40 damage);
>> Blitz (Increases all damage by 40%);
>> Acceleration (Movement +5)

4. Free Restricted Instance entries will be increased to 3 per day.

5. To make Missile weapons more competitive, they’ll get a reduction in Cooldown from 3 Rounds to 2.

- Enhanced Agility (Increases Agility by 6)

2. Addition of the Wheeler Engine (Transmission Module) to the game. The Wheeler Engine provides your ships with Movement+3, Steering +1, Agility + 1 and only 1 Wheeler Engine can be installed on a ship. Get your very own Wheeler Engine through the Champion’s Mall!

3. Trial Instances streamlined. Reduced to 10 Instances. Instance completed will provide a reward. Trial Instance Reset is changed to once every 24 hours.

Content Update:
1. The Christmas-themed the Arctic Airboard ship hull will be released. It’s designed to have specifications similar to Tesla attack ships. No research required! It comes equipped with the “Enhanced Agility” attribute, perfect for commanders who like to have a balanced blend of attack and defense. This Blueprint will be available for purchase from the Champions’ Mall.

2. The 2013 Winter Planet is coming soon. A new Planetary Base decoration that can be used to give your world festive cheer! It can be obtained from Ruins Charts-I and II. It increases your ship building speed and resource production efficiency by 15% while in effect.

3. The Divine Commander Bael the Slayer has appeared! Galaxy Online II’s first ever standalone Divine Commander! A great warrior from a tribe of savage hunters, Bael’s unexpected defection to the Federation has further unsettled the commanders, many of whom still have vivid memories of painful defeats at his hands. This uneasy alliance between Bael and the Federation prompted even arch-rivals Rayo and Titan to join forces. You’ll have a chance to get Bael the Slayer from the Draw Commander Cards feature. We’ll reveal more of Bael’s history and his role in the game over the coming weeks.

4. The Divine Commader The Dictators (Rayo + Titan) has appeared! This awe-inspiring duo will be introduced in greater detail along with Bael the Slayer over the coming weeks.

3. The latest weapon series technology focuses on space economy. Each weapon provides greater damage output per volume point, allowing commanders to make better use of the ship’s carrying capacity.

Content Update:
1. Resolved the bug where certain ships are unable to equip the Artemis module.
2. Updated the drop location of the Artemis module. You’ll have a chance to obtain it by completing the Scorpio.S04 Constellation Instance.
3. New Titan Divine Commander – Dune Enforcers (Titan + Maletiz)
Skill: Each time Dune Enforcers level up, the total increment of Dune Enforcers’ four attributes is increased by an additional 5 points. When attacked, the Dune Enforcers have a chance to absorb all damage and reflect it back to the attacker(Chance to trigger ability is affected by the Dodge and Speed attributes).
This card can be obtained through the draw function in the Command Center.

Content Update:
1. Fixed an issue that allowed the Winter Knights Divine Commander and the Krina Klaus Legendary Commander to use their ability twice in a single round in certain PvP modes. (The effect of increasing “overall ship defense of allied fleets within 4 spaces by 10” should only trigger once per Round).

2. Artemis goes online, all new weapons guidance system, an improvement on the original Time Dilation module. From the Thanksgiving update onwards, the Artemis will be available as reward for completing certain Constellation Instances.

Description for the Artemis-III as follows:
A breakthrough in the field of weapon-guidance systems, the Artemis is not only capable of achieving a lock-on in the harshest environments known to space combat but it also increases lethality of the payload as well. When equipped, the Artemis increases your fleet’s Critical Strike Rate by 15%, Steering by 1.5, Stability by 120%. (As Steering can increase the damage of weapons, each ship is limited to only 1 Artemis module)

Module Introduction:
The Artemis weapons guidance system acts as a boosting agent for attack ships designed to take down the hardiest bunker-style ships. By increasing Critical Strike rate, Steering and Stability, the Artemis improves both the ship’s attack capabilities as well as its survivability. Has great utility for both PvE and PvP combat and requires the user to have completed the research for the Time Dilation Module.

1. Fixed a bug where Enduring Chorus is unable to use Shaba’s ability under certain circumstances. Shaba’s ability (increase the Dodge attribute of all friendly forces within 4 spaces by 5) will now work as intended.
2. Fixed a bug where Commanders that attacked Eternal Terrors will be unable to use their Commander’s ability under certain circumstances.

1) Jack-O-Lantern (Blueprint)
A replica of the lucky charm worn by legendary space pirate Zech Rosier. Increases Shields by up to 260 and negates up to 140 damage taken (Jack-O-Lantern III). You must have already researched EOS Phase Shift Shield III to unlock this blueprint.
Found in Scorpio Constellation Instances S.03 & S.04

2) Hallows Reaper (Blueprint)
Ship Stats: (Special Hull) A limited edition ship that is close in power to the Tesla-series ship hulls. Well-balanced between attack and defense, the Hallows Reaper’s outstanding trait is that it doesn’t require further research to reach its maximum potential.
Critical Strike – Increases Critical Strike Rate by 20%
Advanced Precision – Increases Hit Rate by 20%
Built-in Daedalus – Increases Overall Ship Defense by 33
Found in the Champions’ Mall.

3) Ghostly Planet
Treats or a truckload of troubling tricks! Decorate your base in the spirit of Halloween to increase resource production and Shipbuilding speed by 15% for 24 hours. Also extends the duration of an existing Ghostly Planet by 24 hours or replaces an existing Planetary effect.
Found in Space Raids by using Ruins Chart-I and Ruins Chart-II

Content Updates:
1. Grades VIII, IX, and X Orange Bionic Chips will have their attributes increased, ranging from 120-160% of the previous amount.

2. Tesla Merging
A) The introduction of the Tesla Merging feature will also include 9 new ship hulls that can only be obtained through the use of this new system. Collect enough copies of 5 specific ship blueprints and 150 Uni-Sparks in order to activate a Tesla Merge. This system is accessed through the “Tesla Merging” tab in the Compounding Center.

B) The attributes and properties of the 9 Tesla ships largely inherit those of the ship hulls from the blueprints required for the merging. These attributes are also given a HUGE boost over the Tesla ship’s predecessors. The Tenebrae for example, requires:
>>Aggressive Warlord *3
>>Dullahan *15
>>Nettle *25
>>Palenka *20
>>Cerberus *15

Upon activating Tesla Merging to get the The Tenebrae blueprint, the The Tenebrae-I ship hull possesses the following attributes:
>>Tesla Armor (Damage Taken -15%)
>>Expert Counterattack (Extreme Counterattack modules deal an additional 150% retaliation damage)
>>Adaptive Formation (Nullifies all bonus damage from lateral and rear attack
>>Built-In Icarus (Overall Ship Defense +30)

C) Enter the Weapon Research Center, and click the “Tesla Merging” tab to research and upgrade Tesla ship hulls. Upgrading them grants a huge increase to the effects of their existing properties and requires an additional Primus Cube ingredient. Each upgrade costs 60 Primus Cubes.
At Grade III, the The Tenebrae possesses the following properties:
>>Tesla Armor (Damage Taken -25%)
>>Expert Counterattack (Extreme Counterattack modules deal an additional 450% retaliation damage)
>>Adaptive Formation (Nullifies all bonus damage from lateral and rear attacks)
>>Built-In Icarus (Overall Ship Defense +40)

D) Primus Cubes and Uni-Sparks can be won by completing Constellation Instances or by running Space Raids using Ruins Chart-I or Ruins Chart-II.
There’s an average 65% chance to win Primus Cubes or Uni-Sparks from Constellation Instances though the amount you’ll get varies based on the difficulty of the instance.
For example, the easiest Constellation Instance: Capricorn.01 has a chance to award:
>> 2-4 Uni-Sparks
>> 2-4 Primus Cubes

The most difficult Constellation Instance, Scorpio.04 has a chance to award:
>> 6-8 Uni-Sparks
>> 6-8 Primus Cubes

Space Raids using Ruins Chart-I, Ruins Chart-II also have about a 40% chance to awarding 3-5 Uni-Sparks or Primus Cubes. This rate is the same for players initiating or intercepting the raid.

Note: Uni-Sparks and Primus Cubes are separate rewards for the above activities and don’t affect the availability or rate of existing rewards.

The Galaxy Online II team will be taking our servers offline for maintenance from 4:00am to 4:30am (Server Time: GMT-5) on Oct 11th.

Recently, the Galactic Federation announced a breakthrough technology that would require extensive use of existing ship hull blueprints. Well, that technology is in the final phases of testing and we can’t wait to share what we’ve learned with everyone. Today, we will preview some of this new system’s mechanics in detail. Please note that the information might be subject to change as we conduct further testing.

New feature – Tesla Merging

Introduction:
The two key ingredients for Tesla Merging:
>> The “Uni-Spark”, used in Tesla Merging
>> The “Primus Cube”, used in upgrading Tesla Ships.

You can now collect different quantities of 5 specific ship hull blueprints and merge them with Uni-Sparks to make a new ship hull blueprint. This blueprint teaches Players to build Tesla ship hulls. These hulls will not only inherit many of the traits from the 5 base hull blueprints that were merged, but will also be much more powerful.

Tesla ship hulls can be researched and upgrade just like any other non-flagship hulls. However, this research is more like Flagship research as a special item is needed as well as Gold. Players must collect enough Primus Cubes to research Tesla ship hulls.

FAQs
Q1: How do I obtain Uni-Sparks and Primus Cubes?
A1: Uni-Sparks and Primus Cubes are elementary materials made from the dark matter in the universe. There’s a 50%-80% chance of finding them in Constellation Instances. The amounts that can be found vary from instance to instance and are based on the instance difficulty. This is the most effective way to collecting Uni-Sparks and Primus Cubes.

These two items can also be obtained from a successful Space Raid.

Q2: How many blueprints do I need to collect for a merge?
A2: Each Tesla ship hull requires 5 specific blueprints. The stronger the ship hull required, the fewer Blueprints you’ll need. For example, you might need 30 Air Wanderer Blueprints, 20 Space Hunter Blueprints, 3 Daybreak Blueprints, and so on.

Q3: What do Tesla ship hulls have to offer?
A3: Due to the effort required to collect the blueprints and other ingredients needed to make these hulls, the power boost they provide will surely be a delight to everyone. For example, if one of the five hulls required to merge a particular Tesla ship hull has a +15% Critical Strike rating, the merged ship would grant a +60%-90% Critical Strike rating.

When the Tesla Merging system goes online, it will initially feature around 9 new hulls. Each hull will require different amounts of various blueprints. The traits and attributes of each hull will also vary, allowing players to experiment and find their ideal configuration.

Topic: Galaxy Online / September 17th Content Update and FAQs Update

Having received considerable feedback over the effectiveness of Defense Buildings and Planetary Weapons, all hoping these elements of the game can be more tactically relevant to the current game environment, Team GO2 is going to give them a facelift during the Sept 17th Server Maintenance.

In addition to the changes mentioned in the news for the Sept 17th Content Updates, the following will also be added:

1. Attributes for the Weapon Module “Doomsday” greatly increased. (For Doomsday-III, attributes have been adjusted from Attack: 93-115 and Range: 1-2 to Attack: 479-553 and Range: 1-23).
Note: Players with Blueprints for this weapon will have their Blueprints updated. Ships installed with this weapon will have the weapons updated to the latest attributes. Players can purchase the Blueprint to this Weapon from the Honor Mall.

Developers’ Note: The highlight of this update is to allow users of the “Doomsday” Planetary Weapon to have a distinct tactical advantage over Defense Buildings. With a maximum range of 23, which covers practically the entire battlefield, ships could in theory, take down Defense Buildings while remaining safely out of range of the latter’s attack.

2. Repair times for some Defense Buildings will be adjusted. Among those, Level 12 Thor’s Cannons will require 4 days to complete its repairs.

Developers’ Note: Due to the tremendous increase in damage for various Defense Buildings, the repair time will also have to be increased for necessary balance. Particularly Thor’s Cannons that are Level 10 and above, which received the biggest boosts in Attack.

3. Attack and Structure for Defense Buildings in Instances will remain unchanged. With a much higher Attack for Defense Buildings built by players, Corps can now better challenge Space Pirates. Planets that went into the maintenance still engaged in battle will have the Defense Buildings updated immediately upon resuming battle after the maintenance.

Several issues commonly raised by players will be addressed in the update. Below is a brief list in summary:

1. Planetary battles will no longer be simply skirmishes between fleets. Fleets without the “Doomsday” Planetary Weapons will find it difficult to overcome Defense Buildings as the latter’s Structure points will be greatly increased. Invading forces will be required to incorporate the use of Planetary Weapons in their armada to be successful.

2. Defense Buildings at Level 10 and above will receive a big increase in Attack, especially for Thor’s Cannon. Thor’s Cannons will now devastate invading forces if they are not taken down quickly.

3. Changes to attributes of Defense Buildings:
A) Defense Buildings will have Light Armor as its Armor Type.
B) Planetary Weapons deal damage to Defense Buildings with no bonuses or penalties (100%). However, each Defense Building has an Overall Defense rating (Similar to Overall Ship Defense rating) which reduces any damage dealt to Defense Buildings. For example, Particle Cannons have 50 Overall Defense ratings.
C) Ships using the Black Hole Hull can deal 300% damage to the Light Armor. This bonus applies when dealing damage to Defense Buildings, including the Doomsday Planetary Weapon.
D) Effectiveness of the Planetary Weapon Bionic Chipis greatly increased.

A particularly potent “Anti-Defense Building” fleet can be such a configuration:
‘Doomsday’ Planetary Weapons + Black Hole Hull + Planetary Weapon Bionic Chip + Commander: Sylva.

We hope this update will greatly shakeup the PvP environment and encourage players to come up with more innovative fleet building and deployment strategies. A siege should never be a walk in the park. After this update, plan every raid carefully or your Waterloo may just be right around the corner!

Content Update:

1) Adjusted the attributes of Defense Buildings (Meteor Star, Particle Cannon, Anti-Aircraft Gun, Thor’s Cannon). From Level 10 onwards, these buildings will get a big boost in Attack, Defense and Structure. Delay tactics using swarms of low-grade ships will soon be a thing of the past!

2) Greatly increased the skill trigger rate of Divine Commander “Queens of Blades”. Below is a brief summary of the trigger rates:
Accuracy + Speed = 500, skill trigger rate of Queens of Blades is increased from 19% to 22%.
Accuracy + Speed = 800, skill trigger rate of Queens of Blades is increased from 24% to 32%.
Accuracy + Speed = 1200, skill trigger rate of Queens of Blades is increased from 35% to 53%.
Accuracy + Speed = 1500, skill trigger rate of Queens of Blades is increased from 46% to 75%.
Accuracy + Speed = 1800, skill trigger rate of Queens of Blades is increased from 59% to 102%.
Accuracy + Speed = 2100, skill trigger rate of Queens of Blades is increased from 74% to 133%.
Achieving a 1800 total for Accuracy and Speed practically bestows a 100% skill trigger rate on Queens of Blades.

3) Players now have a chance to obtain the latest Commanders such as Circe, Queens of Blades, Erebus Errants, etc, from the corresponding items: Legendary Commander Card (Random), Divine Commander Card (Random), Legendary Lifeboats, and Divine Lifeboats.

4) Players now have a chance to obtain the latest Commanders such as Titan, Queens of Blades, The Heartless Ones, etc from the “Draw Commander Card” function.

5) Thor’s Cannon’s Cooldown is reduced from 2 to 1, allowing it to attack once every 2 Rounds instead of 3.

2. Entrants may only send up to 8 fleets for the Tournament.

Topic: Galaxy Online / Introducing the Latest Battleship - The Bastion

The Federation recently introduced the Bastion, the newest ship in the armada. With its impressive list of defensive capabilities, the Bastion has been hailed by many as a “Flying Fortress”.

Ship Characteristics:
1. When fully upgraded, it can achieve a storage capacity of 900, the highest amount currently available in-game. This allows for the installation of more weapons and modules, further boosting the ship’s attributes.
2. Attribute – Critical Evasion (Reduces the enemy’s Critical Hit rate by 50%)
Critical Evasion allows the Bastion to avoid a majority of the damage dealt by even the hardest hitters in the galaxy.
3. Attribute – Stability (Increases Stability by 300%)
Such a high Stability can be equated to a thick barrier that greatly increases the durability of your ships.
4. Attribute – High Quality Armor (Damage taken is reduced by 15%)
High Quality Armor allows the Bastion to take less damage than expected from its enemies.
5. Attribute – Adaptive Formation (Nullifies all bonus damage from lateral and rear attacks)
Adaptive Formation allows the Bastion to maneuver and position itself aggressively without any repercussions.
6. Attribute – Improved Counterattack (Extreme Counterattack modules reflect an additional 300% damage)
Improved Counterattack is a new attribute that allows your Extreme Counterattack modules to dish out an additional 300% retaliation damage. When you have Extreme Counterattack-III equipped, each Bastion ship will be able to deal 800 (200 + 200 X 300% = 800) retaliation damage. Therefore, if 3000 of your Bastion ships (effective stack: 2500) equipped with Extreme Counterattack sustained damage from an enemy attack, a total of 2,000,000 (2500 X 800) damage will be dealt as retaliation damage.

Recommended Configuration:
With 5 defensive attributes, the Bastion is clearly defense-oriented ship. However, being a Battleship-class vessel means that it has low Agility stats. Even when equipped with defensive modules, it’s still defensively weaker than a ship hull with higher Agility stats. Simply put, a Bastion equipped with only defensive modules will still lose out to a ship hull that is specifically designed to out-fire and outmaneuver. Therefore, we recommend a non-defensive configuration. You’re of course welcome to experiment and build your ships however you like.
The purpose of the 5 defensive attributes is to make up for its inadequacies without the need to sacrifice firepower. The 900 storage capacity allows you to equip any weapons and modules that you desire to create a Flying Fortress balanced in both offense and defense.

Recommended Modules:
Equip the following modules and fill up any remaining storage with your preferred weapons or modules.
