SOTC-Guide for the new ones
Well , Welcome to Sands of The Coliseum , a great game of course , but , you need to get the hang of it to enjoy the pure fun given out by this game .
First , you need to level up , it’s the basic thing to do , just go to a coliseum , and fight some gladiators . At one point , you will have to buy another gladiator , keep in mind that the higher the MP , the better . MP are morale points , you use these points to apply techniques you learn by leveling up , in combat .
The different types of gladiators you can have ( Basic ones ) Are :
DWs , or Dual Wielders , wield two single handed weapons , and require the skill tree Dimacharius, keep in mind putting all the points into x2 does not help , fill it to 5/10 , and continue filling Dimacharius .
Tanks , Spear , Shield , and a whole lotta bashing ! These gladiators give a fight if they were built correctly , they require the Skill tree Murmillo , You can later on develop them into a Protector , which by the name means you protect another Gladiator , by standing infront of them and taking the hit. you need to rely on defense for tanks , when you develop into a protector , you’re gonna need speed points too . To make a speed based Protector
Thrower /Curer/Netter : Spear , shield , and Throwing ! If you lose a leg ,you can still throw ! This is great for beginners , as for it is easy to use , and isn’t so complicated , it need the Skill tree Retarius , you can increase Vitality , which increases the HP points , which makes your gladiator last longer , all the skills learned in retarius are worth putting points into .
Keep away from this one weapon as tempting as it looks , The two handed weapons ,Why ? Sure they have high damage , but if one hand is out , it is basically useless , Where as if a dw loses a hand , it can still attack with the other , same as Tanks and throwers !
Remember to enjoy the game , and always ask for help when you need some .
