Topic: Global Assault: General / [To Dev] Thanks you for giving me exactly what I needed

Or you know what would be AWESOME? If my tanks could each have a PET! OH MAAAAAN, like if my little Zeus had an even littler parrot that followed him around the battle? OH SO GOOD.

I’d pay you like 50… 60 bucks for this. Come on guys! Let’s get creative with game content here!

Anyone else have anything they’d like to see implemented in this game. Don’t be weird though, we’re talking VALUE FOR MONEY HERE, value on par with everything we’ve seen so far.

Come on DEVs, you know what we really want. The ability to give our tanks sassy new COLOURS! Different colours! A Purple needler! A red Zeus! A pride-striped Oni!

And you can give us this for just 25$ per colour request! Doesn’t that sound amazing? It does to me. I would spend betwee 4 and 6 hundred dollars just colouring in my new tanks. Please Devs? Please? I’m literally begging you to institute this new feature. I need substantially more channels in which to give you money.

But to be honest, if you cant find any fun when playing game, you can always walk away and don’t need to look back (I will do the same someday). Just simple like that cuz at the end, its just a business model as you said.

My point is this developer went from someone whom gamers used to respect (WM:Tyrant) to someone they vaguely tolerated (T:U), to someone who preys on gamers and frankly insults them with poor game content and pricing (this POS).

Dude, like it or not, this game does have some level of strategy, its not “no skill”. From countering specific units or figuring out the best placement, there is enough decision making to entice some players. Also, thanks to the complete lack of live PvP, anyone can beat stronger opponents (to a point) because the AI is dumb.

The skill required to play this at the highest levels, and the skill required to play War Metal Tyrant at the highest levels are vastly different. Don’t kid yourself.

But that’s not really my point. At least tyrant unleased had some vestige of single player campaign that you could play while you’re building up a deck. Missions that were replayable for money. And 40 dollars for a single T5 unit and a gear? I don’t think I’ve ever seen something so despicable.

This game is crazy, and preys upon the obsession of a small audience of high-payers to make a profit. That might be an ok business model, but it’s a shitty one. You know who else has that buisness model? Casinos.

I played War Metal Tyrant for years. That was a good game. You gave it up for Tyrant unleashed, which was a moneygrab with no skill required. But this game is even WORSE.

It’s a moneygrab in which you’ve phased out all elements of any real 1st player campaign. You play a few missions, and suddenly you’re locked into competition at the top of your skill level. You spend most of your time losing, with the game telling you to “buy better units”.

And the unit prices are INSANE. 400 kreds for a single tier 5 unit? It’s shameful, gross and predatory. You’ve basically made a game in which you’re laughing at your players. Everything about this game tells me that I’m being mocked.

You should examine what you’re doing. Is what you want really to make shit for teenagers who have access to their parent’s credit cards, and addict gamers?

Just play the game.

Bam. I’ve just made you a PVP audience.

I loled hard on this, because right now, everyday you get:

- 2 cards (1 win / 5 battles)
- 3 xot (3 wins)
- some khopt/trins, but it doesn’t matter

Well, then make it 1 xot on finishing your first PVP game. Or even better: SUGGEST SOMETHING YOURSELF. Or do you just like to whine? Because my point is that I do NOT get the three xot on three wins, because I cannot get three wins. It is impossible if all you get matched to is level 14-20, and you are level 8.

Good answer. Nobody’s doubting that ideally, things would be ideal. But the problem now is that there is NO INCENTIVE to play pvp unless you have a high-powered deck. You get no wins, no cards, no nothing. You’re asking that low-level players become chum for high level players because eventually there might be enough low-level players to play against? Sorry, but that’s just a waste of my time.

I’m at the end of my first day playing PVP, and it is the MOST BORING THING IMAGINABLE. It’s high level players preying on low level players.

This is insane, what kind of PVP doesn’t implement in tiered leagues based on the level of your cards or your skill?

Interestingly, sometimes I get the message “cannot play bot”. To which I think, “why the fuck not”? I’m sorry, but if my only available match is some dude 10 levels above me with an unbeatable unliving deck, why can’t the game provide me with a PvP bot?

Considering how slowly you get cards in this game, is it going to be beneficial to cut players off from the pvp packs so effectively?

Topic: Coraabia / Coraabia - First impressions

The more often I run into a well-made unliving deck, with rare yellow cards, the more I find those to be far more powerful than every other type of deck.

The mechanic by which the game ends when the cards run out favours the dump and degrade strategy of yellow heavily. If I have a great merc deck with strong cards that pump up my score when I sacrifice them (which I do), and I run into a yellow deck, my game is dictated by how quickly he can dump his cards, which fundamentally means that I have no chance.

There should be a mechanic which balances this. If someone has a significant number of cards left, perhaps a portion of their score could be added onto the final tally. This would make yellow have to think about how many times he dumps from his own deck.

It also privileges the yellow deck that they can play both an active ability and a trick in the same turn. Basically every time they start a duel, unless I guess the stat that starts with me at a disadvantage, they get two plays to extract points from me – trick and ability.

Out of curiosity, how many times have you played MM6.1? And what’s your strategy for winning/how do you play? Do you think you need nimbus on turn 1?

Well, I’ve probably played the mission about 15 times, and my nimubs strategy is based on the fact that the only time I ever even came close to winning is one mission where I was able to use one to soak 2 obliterating chops and a punishing beam with my idiot warrior who can’t block anything.

If there’s some sort of magical strategy that I’m missing, please fill me in. Because so far as I can see, it’s a blank open room with three enemies who have unbelievable mobility, great range and enormous power.

Topic: Card Hunter / Mauve Manticore 6 feedback

The Mauve Manticore 6 is my least favourite of them all. Basically, you have to rely on luck to draw at least two nimbuses in battle, one on the first round. If you don’t soak up the evil weapons’ attacks, you’ll die. But then if you don’t get a second round of nimus, you’re pretty much done for.

Frankly, the staff’s spells are way too OP. Punishing beam has an enormous range, and guaranteed damage, and all its other attacks are electrical, making the priest’s absorbing block relatively useless. The elf warrior pulls HORRIBLE cards, and most likely you’ll get two to three mobility cards, one stabbing attack, maybe one armour and absolutely NO blocking cards of any kind, ranged or physical.

Overall, 6 is the most luck-based Manticore of them all, and consequently the worst so far.

You’re kidding right?

I was part of the great Playdom cull of the Avengers Online game when they moved over to FB, and they migrated a fraction of the players to the new server, only if they complained extensively by email and only if they were very high spending players. The rest lost thousands and thousands of dollars worth of gear, if not tens of thousands. Just lost, in the blink of an eye.

It’s what keeps me from spending on any online game ever. So anyone out there? You can thank playdom for revealing to me the fact that buying digital ‘property’ is a joke.

It suffers from the same fatal flaw as Hearthstone. It’s SLOOOOW. It’s SO SLOW. Tons of minuscule animations that add up to long, drawn-out battles. Sure its a beautiful game with a fun system and so far its been good, but it’s just disastrously slow. I won’t be a long-term player without some tightening up of the rate of play.

THERE IS NO CHANCE. I’m IMMEDIATELY out of this game.

You REWARD people for playing, you don’t punish if they don’t play. How elementary a concept does that have to be?

Topic: Card Hunter / Best weapons for you?

I’m a big fan of efficient use of tokens, so I always end up with weapons that enable that.

I’m fully enjoying the Blackeye Hammer, which is a rare that costs one blue token to use, and equips you with blind rage, 2 punishing strikes, 1 s. bludgeon and 2 bludgeons. Blind rage, coupled with crusher usually means that within a round or two, you will have at least one bonus. It’s not super-powered, but it’s good enough that I can liberate power tokens to devote to armor and shields.

Maquah of the Angry Blood- epic, 1 blue token to use. 2 unnerving strikes to deal with pesky blockers. 2 strong hacks to help. The only problem with this is that the hacks don’t benefit from crushing damage bonus.

Porior’s Nimble Mace – 1 blue token, legendary, 3 strong bludgeons and 3 lunging bashes.

Blocking Mace – common, 1 blue 1 yellow token. 3 really powerful bludgeons and 2 parries. good versatility if you need a warrior to tank

Eixocl’s Hammer – epic, 2 blue tokens. Blind rage, dodge, 2 lunging bash, 2 pressing bash. Good for dwarf fighters to locate themselves properly for a big hit.

Vinewrapped cudgel – rare, no tokens. 2 c. overswing, 2 simple strike, 2 push parry. Another good melee parry weapon.

Gleaming Glaive – epic, 1 yellow 1 blue. 2 polearm slash (2 range slashing, doubles as armour of 3+ with 2 protect. Good card). Lets you stack armour for the approach, then sunder when in range, then finish.

How about something special for players who earn every medal on a stage? Maybe nothing game-breaking, but maybe you could… I don’t know, step up the treasure rankings for that last earned medal? Or maybe make the loot fairy give slightly better chances at legendary loot on levels with all medals earned?
