1. (censored) please, I was solving puzzles before some of you were born. And yeah, I’ve done puzzle FGs.
2. /ignored
3. I’ll probably be cheering for it.
4. Yeah. As long as one of the puzzles doesn’t involve something like “Meet Bluji on Kongregate in the middle of the day for a super-secret rendezvous and sharing of important information”.
5. Sure why not.

You know, the last time competitors were required to show a blank save file as part of a tournament round, they staged a revolt and abandoned the tourney.

Nah, I didn’t fall for it.
Quoting from one of my PMs to Bluji: “SilentSand and S_98 are most likely just using the strategy of pretending to be dumber than they really are.”

In a single player game, the same problem can exist with single player games, but the weaker competitors have time to increase their skill level without being punished by losing to the competitors who were born ready to kill.
So give the players a few days to practice the game before they actually play matches that count for the tournament? I really don’t see how pre-existing advantages in multiplayer games should be treated any differently than they are with single-player games.

Wait a sec, are you saying that your score decreased at times?
Bullet scraping is what you have to do to increase your multiplier.
Yes. Like, my score would go in a pattern like 922→921→924→923→924→923→926 or something similarly weird.
And though bullet scraping increased my score (at least, faster than doing anything else), my multiplier never exceeded 1.

What's your playing style?
What I generally do in tournaments is play until I reach a score that I feel is safe, then I’m done unless I then decide that my score is in danger. Which means I could only play a game for a couple of hours if I get a good enough score early, or I could be playing the game every day for several hours a day if I’m really bad at it. So whatever category you’d call that.
Unfortunately, I’m also going to be part of that “Retired” category after this tournament (I know I’ve probably said that at least a dozen times by now, but I mean it this time. I think.)

Oh, I’m serious about competing, I’m just not actually good enough to compete.

I think having an @kongregate.com e-mail address would potentially confuse some people and would lead them to think that you worked for Kongregate.

The fear of getting lynched is no reason not to play.
You don’t have to survive to win—sometimes your death could help lead your team to victory, and that’s what matters.

I’ve spent a hell of a lot longer than a weekend on dozens of non-MMO medium badges.

Yellow plug is just as good as a green plug (just means you’re connected in a different way), and Maist could probably do that score again in his sleep anyway.

General Thread
62 first try and 97 second try on Drop.
If you can get into a rhythm (and have a decent typing speed), you can go for a while, but if you miss even one key, it’s very difficult to recover.
I also imagine the game gets easier the more you play it, since the game repeats the some of the same words over and over again. If you can identify the whole word from the first 2-3 letters, that buys you valuable time.
EDIT: Yeah, that’s definitely the case—141 third try.
