In fact, most of top 10 guild only have over 40 members and you can easily get into one if you’re active and willing to contribute. And btw, “the best items” are only rewarded to top 10 rifters of top 3 guilds BY CHANCE, so the ones who are awarded are actually from the most active rifters.
And in MMO like this, if you want competitive, you should think of spending money. I, myself, am a free player and up until now I think the system is working pretty well. Leveling after level 30 only takes long if you’re really care about it, but if you’re not then there is no problem there since you can beat every map using ally. The premium item system sure does benefit the payers, but you can still get good items with not too lower stats in game. Personally, I’m staying in level 38 for over a week now, using only in game gears and I get no problem whatsoever.

Max of 500 players!? The number’s 50. 50.

Also, in “MMO’s like these” the key to being successful is to play more and to play regularly. This game has an unusually high number of ways to obtain rubies [“member” currency] for free. One of these ways includes winning gold trophies that can produce these item in your “Home”.

No, the post basically said that:
a) the game was too grindy but had good graphics
b) it wasn’t fun
c) the developers want to make as much money as possible and that takes priority over players having fun
d) the developers won’t implement any of such suggestions because of that

It was critical but had no foul langauge and really no reason to remove it. Except that Kongregate is earning money from it. I guess reminding people they shouldn’t spend money on bad games is not the best idea for such business models, lol.

sure…that was all it said. As if I don’t remember what I cited on the ticket I sent.

So that’s what happens…..(totally had nothing to do w/ flagging the comment owo)

BTW: If I recall, the post have nothing to do with “suggesting that the game be fun,” but rather was just some negative comment that criticized the game and/or the players who played them.

It’s just a visual bug. All of their stats and gear are updated.

That’s not really a bug. It sounds more like a poor internet connection.

Wands in general need to be on the faster side for how players use them. That shouldn’t be changed.
BTW: The fastest weapon in the game is (and probably will remain for a long while) a wand (Snowflake Staff – the only weapon that can deal more than 3 hits / second)

There aren’t nearly enough items in this game for an “Auction House” to be implemented.

Topic: Cloudstone / Why is my inventory full?

I don’t see how keeping every single item that one finds constitutes a “normal” adventure. There are hundreds of items in this game, and part of the gaming experience includes using one’s head to deduce which items are and aren’t worth keeping. Find an MMORPG that doesn’t have limited inventory space and maybe there’d be some merit to this argument.

Topic: Cloudstone / Arcane Rift bugged

It is obviously and unfortunately beyond my ability to reveal to you how detrimental this decision (denying non-guild members access to the Arcane Rift) is to your game. Scratch that. This single decision, while extremely relevant, is also meaningless – it is the mindset behind it that is actually damning.

I truly wish I could think of an eloquent way to describe how many ways your game has actively driven me away from becoming a recurring, active player. However, I honestly cannot even think of a place to begin, let alone how to get to an appropriate ending point while maintaining integrity along the way.

I hope someone else enters your life who can teach you these things. They will be incredibly valuable to you if you are ever able to learn from them.

In the mean time, I will engage in the absolutely absurd workaround your current game design has forced me into since, for reasons I am ashamed to admit – even to myself, the acquisition of the Kongregate badge is more important to me than the time I am wasting while I am engaged with the product you have produced.

Geez! That quite a dramatic (and rather malicious) way to word things. The main (and likely only) purpose of the Arcane Rift is for guilds to compete against one another. The area is still in it early stages (the first season just ended) and individual play is likely something that wasn’t a major concern considering that the Arcane Rift floors are basically just challenges to defeat x-amount of mobs in a limited amount of time. You can go fight in PvE maps to get the same experience.

Topic: Cloudstone / Kongregate vs. Facebook Version

Kongregate Cloudstone has a character viewer…it the link under the picture of your character in the main screen of the game. =_= Kongregate and Facebook area separate servers, so you can’t login between them. I’m assuming that the extreme ease of adding allies on Kongregate compensates for the lack of a gifting system.

The game won’t let you do mission if your inventory is above its maximum capacity. The inventory count includes crafting supplies and consumables as well as unequipped gear.

Topic: Cloudstone / Why is WIZARD class so gimped?

-Enough player have already whined about the nature of mage gear (hence mage shield now have significant armor).
-Main-land mission actually offer much more exp in the long run
-I’m a mage and this season I’m 168-4 http://kong.cloudstonegame.com/main/CharacterViewer?uid=8813251

Topic: Cloudstone / The Official Guild Recruiting Thread

^^^It doesn’t look like this guild is open to “outsiders.” It also doesn’t remotely follow the format for this thread. The guild I’m in is posted in another forum and I didn’t see a point in posting it again.

^ Frankly, this is “The Official Guild Recruiting Thread” and therefor unless you are posting a guild post please refrain from using this thread unless someone asks for your input. Thanks.

You should at least get up to my level before you try slander. :P 30k+ Arcane Rift Points

Topic: Cloudstone / Ideas for New Skills on CloudStone

Just though that w/ the prospect of future increases to the level cap, more skill would be needed.

Warrior Class
Fortitude: (this idea I borrowed from another player [can’t remember who] and I decided to add some numbers to it)
-allows the player to gain a small amount of hp for each enemy defeated
-Tier 5 Passive Skill: Ranks (10/15/20/25/30hp) per enemy defeated

Armor Bash: (the first skill based on a player’s armor stat!) inspired by Adrokila’s comment
-player thrusts themselves at enemy dealing damage
-Tier 4 Active Skill: Ranks (20+.6 armor/ 30+.65 armor / 40+.7 armor / 50 + .75 armor / 60+.8 armor)

Mage Class
MegaBane: (similar to the one champions use) it’s not really one of my best ideas as it’s only really useful in PvP
-removes power from all enemies in a given area
-Tier 3 or 4 Active Skill: Ranks (10/20/30/40/50 power) 30-second cooldown

Blizzard: (just wanted to balance out the fire and ice skills on the Mage skill tree)
-reduces the attack speed (maybe the movement speed as well) of all enemies in a given area
-Tier 4 or 5 Active Skill: Ranks (15/20/25/30/35 percent slower for 8 seconds) 20-second cooldown

(inspired by Naradan: these move could have an additional effect of the user gaining 5 power per enemy hit. If this were the case, the move would be in the Tier in bold)

Monk Class
Attract (a.k.a. Reverse Power Burst): (just like megabane, it’s used by champions) this skill would likely have mixed results
-yanks all enemies in a given area towards the player, dealing damage
-Tier 4 Active Skill: Ranks (similar to that of Power Burst) same-cooldown (maybe faster?)

Armor Pierce: (courtesy of hpabpa on Kongregate)
-claw attack which negates a percentage of armor
-Tier 5 Active Skill: Ranks (10/20/30/40/50 percent of armor is ignored in calculation of damage on a normal claw attack for 4 seconds)

For the Monk and Mage classes, a Tier 5 Passive Skill that provides stat bonuses could be added like the Tier 3 Bifocals or Bikham Yoga (5/10/15/20/25) called Sight / Tai Chi and for the Warrior class another skill that gives bonus hp called Steel (like Grit and Toughness, only Tier 5)

They all need some work. I’ll be periodically updating this list.
