It says my account is already logged in on a different computer, which it isn’t. Its probably the fact that my computer crashed when I was in the middle of a battle. What should I do to fix this?

Every game with badges has complaints about em “Didn’t get my badge, stupid game!” or “This badge should be an impossible badge, it took me too long to get it”

It seems, lately, that people are playing games ONLY for the badges. I play any game that gets “Featured”. I assume it is featured either because the developer has paid for it to be, or it is put there by Kong as an example of one of the finer games on the site (a showcase, if you will). Either way, I feel whether the site is just promoting it’s own awesomeness or if someone paid to have me see their game, it’s a good enough reason to at least give it a few clicks. As a result, I’ve accumulated a fair few badges of my own. But let me assure you, they’re worthless. I have no intentions of going into a job interview and bragging on my lvl 35 Kong account.

Then the developers cater to these people… Can’t really say that’s a bad move on their part, seeing as if these people aren’t the gross majority of the site, they’re certainly the loudest. And it’s never good, from a business point of view, to have forums full of whining about the same thing, as it sends the message to newcomers that have no idea what is even being discussed that the “problem” certainly does exist and they’re doing nothing about it. But really, I’m a bit disappointed with the direction things have gone. Points for everything now, even rating games. At this point, more or less just wondering how long til people start demanding 5 points a day just for logging in…

But hey, I guess a good website only lasts a couple years or so before it’s watered down to suit the masses and becomes the same mainstream crap ya got everywhere else… Could be worse… A great website usually only lasts about as long before getting shut down because the cost of nice things more or less necessitates the mainstream crap just for the sake of survival.

Another rash of crap I’ve noticed occurs on most MMOs. Whenever there is an option to effect your gameplay at all for creds, no matter how minor or unnecessary the purchase or “donation” is, comments are in full uproar about how it’s supposed to be free games here… Tyrant is probably one of the biggest moneymakers on the site, and i completed the original 66 level campaign, as well as the campaign that followed it (which i’m sure people are whining about it’s lack of a badge), and will probably complete the new campaign at some point. All the while, I have never purchased a single Kredit (Mostly due to inability, I’ve played a fair few games here that are worth supporting)… So what if other players are getting the badge faster or easier? But then again, this is coming from a guy who could never understand people using cheat codes on their first run through a game. If it’s too hard, get better.

No intention of leaving the site, and tbh, no real requests to be had to make things better. Just had to get that off my chest, and hopefully, I’m wrong and the site isn’t slipping, it’s just the comments and the hive-minded masses. But really, gaming used to be about spending $40 on a new game for your console then complaining about having only gotten 40 hours of game-time out of it. Not complaining that it took you over 4 hours to get your arbitrary 30 points.

I have been on Kongregate for a long time. I have seen many changes in the site. I also have to experience the dreadful MMO badges. If the MMO is too dull and boring, then I don’t get it. Its not like Kongregate’s motto is “Gotta catch em all!” or anything. Get the badges you can, and you still feel accomplished. If you get a MMO badge that took you weeks, all that is going to happen is “Ugh thank god thats over”. Though, some MMO’s aren’t that bad. I mean, there could be worse, right? I remember back in the day when the badges were more time consuming and difficult. These changes have not harmed me in any way possible. I like most of the updates. When kreds arrived, I thought it would be the end, but clearly it wasn’t. Nothing is forcing you to buy kreds. Kongregate is still the same.
