Yeah I would love to play that slow deck in live. It’s so slow. I’ll have three monsters out ready to kill each monster you could bring out. Of course I would be using a red/purple deck to crush this deck, so your color argument stands :)

Also Magebane will be pretty useless since magic is going to be even rarer than it is now.

Crown and VE got nerfed but GR stays the same, a must have of every single deck. I don’t understand that.

I am also very confused why clam and chimp got nerfed so bad, since they were one of the few options for dealing with all the Red/Purple decks. I was really hoping this exp would allow yellow and blue back into dragon live, but it failed miserably.

All these nerfs and yet Act of Silence stayed the same….are you kidding me? Magic based decks (i.e. blue) continue to be a joke because of Act of Silence and Sorrow.

Yes reflect can kill spirite, but the point of spirite is to be very strong against range. Arch Mage and Spirite are very complimentary cards, where arch mage is strong against magic weak against range, and spirite is the opposite. I wouldn’t recommend running two it a blue deck though, cause you need to be flexible enough to avoid reflect some by positioning spirite on the other side.

But this arguement is pretty moot though, since silence has eliminated spirite, arch mage, and the entire blue color from the top deck ranks.

I agree with Jason. Before blue got crush over the last two expansions spirite was a nice epic. I loved playing spirite+robes in my blue deck. If you swapped the colors of the two you could easily claim DM is weaker than spirite.

True Edge doesn’t have the manpower to have the devs split their time between programming and communication, but I’m cutting them some slack. Updated every 2 months is pretty difficult. The way they dealt with the issue yesterday was outstanding, and I know many of our attitudes towards Edge hung in the balance yesterday.

Also, since they are already banned can we blame the sandbox leak on Seasick too so the other testers can come back to help speed up the new exp? :)

Zero transparency, a single community manager who is forced to operate on hearsay and guesses to communicate with the community. No indications of progress or whether suggestions and complaints are being taken on board at all.

I had a friend who was a real solid guy and alliance leader, left the game entirely for various reasons but mostly because he actually got to speak to the devs and found them incredibly arrogant and thus, all hope for the various edgebee games, effectively lost. The arrogance is actually so obvious simply from the responses to the top comments, (I have never wanted a down-vote option for developer comments so badly before or since.) We really should have been smarter than to commit money into this game.

Game in need of rescuing.

This arrogance lead the devs to completely shut down testers because someone posted the cards (probably a S&P or other tester and not even a CM tester). Now instead of 5-6 of us testing (for free) a few hours a day finding bugs in the new expansion and testing out new card and ability strength, the devs have to do it all, which is so much slower.

Yeah bomb that would be one of the thing they would ideally iron out in testing, but since people are allowed to play with the new cards it’s an issue now. I bet there are still bugs with the new abilities though, so players use those cards at their own risk.

When playing the AI and the game goes into auto mode when you have no cards left, the end-state is calculated. This way you can finish swarms much quicker. This is much more important (to most of us) than the very rare chances were saccing a card would have won.

In general I’d like to see us have more time to make moves in live. The time limits were initially set back when there were much fewer abilities to consider. With all the abilities you have to consider when making a move, and with the new set of abilities coming in exp5, I would love to see at least 5 more seconds a turn allowed.

Yes a good first step to answer random questions you have would be ask it in the chat first. Then if no one knows the answer it may merit a forum post. Just starting so many random posts will clog up the posts worth reading, and discourage players from post participating.

In this case I have seen this issue discussed many times in the chat and many forum posts already have brought this up.

Topic: Card Monsters / Silence.

Something is unbalanced when entire colors are not being played at the top level anymore. I only know of one top blue deck that is played right now since I stopped playing my blue deck and whatsacomputer left, and he is already in the process of building a non-blue deck to switch to. The main reason no one plays blue anymore is because of fear and silence. For me personally it was silence that was a bigger issue to deal with.

The reason chaos can get away with playing magic is because the deck does not depend on magic as it’s main source of damage like blue does. Chaos top decks usually have 2 musc, and blue only has decent wing magic guys (vapor sucks now).

@msr6. Reflect is a perfectly fine way to deal with DM+Robe, since 75% chance to one-shot himself is pretty powerful. I often will sac my already played DM when someone plays a reflect equip on the monster I would be hitting. I would love to see someone play 2 DMs+Robe against me if I have a reflect equip.

Until silence is changed/nerfed blue will never be played again at the top levels. Even if amazing new magic monsters come out, all that will do is get more people to play silence, keeping blue crushed. I’m fine with making act of silence and sorrow unique, which will pretty much fix the problem (although people will not play act of silence much over judge or mana gem).

I forgot to mention the great range guys that also came in the last few expansions which also hurt magic wing guys (chimp, clam, mskt). Fear in all colors, silence, great range guys=no heavy magic decks

That is a good point msr6. In general Edge needs to stop giving big cost discounts for 10 armor cards. Having a 10 armor card is rarely worse than a 20 armor card (or even 30 is many cases). The only 10 armor epic I can think of that people don’t say is OP is Ying Suit, and that’s because the Backstab ability is overpriced, so it evens out. And 10 armor cards are some of the most popular common, uncommon, and rare cards (mad gloves, ninja suit, and curious hat, respectively).

For Channeling Crown specifically I think it evens out here too, since resonate is overpriced. Look at Herbalist F, which few people use because she is so easy to kill (her abilities are not worth her survivability).

Fear being played easily by all colors (GR) and Silence both are the big issues facing magic. GR started to become popular right around the time the silence ability (Act of Silence & Sorrow) was introduced. This is why almost every top blue deck (including mine) stopped being played. In blue decks it is(was) very common to have a armored tank in the middle and two magic guys on the wings. Now someone can play a 2cc card (Act of Silence) to make the two back cards useless for 5 turns. Any decent deck will easily be able to use that advantage to finish off a blue deck. Unless this situation is eliminated no one will risk having multiple magic cards in their deck (not counting sadi of course).

Even if future expansions bring new great magic cards, all that will do is make the situation worse, cause more people will be playing Act of Silence and Sorrow.
