No the target shouldn’t have to be on screen because they are different screen sizes which can allow you to see more, so I think there should be a universal range for everyone.

No, but the turrets shouldn’t be long range. Just enough to discourage pirates from attacking people near the base because along with base turrets/ships they should remove the safe zone.

Yeah basically instant kill to anyone near the same level, also he did state the dmg which was 17,005 (nothing else so it means that it does that much dmg at weapon lvl 1, captain lvl 1, and no artifacts).

Ok I see your point about the population, and wicked have you tried the elite zones?

So to have any hope of change in this game we probably would want to give some more specific examples.
First of all though how would you merge the PvE currently in the game with the PvP that you want to add well.
Also what kind of new facilities do you think they should add(everybody please post their ideas on this because it seems like a lot of people reply). Also you said you wanted Mines you had to guard that give you resources. Would these be located on planets in systems? Would you have planets moving around in one big system, have systems move around with planets in them like in Zergilin,
or have everything just be linked by warpgates? If they were going to do this I think they would make the systems be bigger so travel would take longer and add more natural hazards/defensable areas like asteroid belts.

Well, how much pvp do you do in the game? To me it seems alright you just have to work it out with people(part of the problem is that this game has a small population).
Too be honest though it wouldn’t be bad to have objectives other than just killing people especially to make some weapons more useful. Also it would be hard to put bases out in the current systems so they would probably have to make some specific battleground maps which would also have to make it so that people get some resources from participating. Also how would you have ambushes work? You would have to be able to access a map when you’re inside a facility. Maybe you could make a base that when you “enter” it you can’t move and can’t be seen on the map? Lastly how would enemy/ally resources/power work? Would it power AI units or bases?

What do you think would be a good range on the defense if it’s mobile? Also what would happen if it got destroyed? Also should it be stationary, mobile or vary between safe zones?
I’m not sure whether it should be protected by the safe zone or not though.

This is way too much, for instance even moving slower is just too much, your combat penalties are way too harsh, and how would their crew members getting hurt more do anything? They would just go into passive mode and then do it and complain about the waste of time, and they would be right too. Also if your upset that they’re shooting their friends then join their party. About the only good thing I can think of is having a police AI that would defend safe zones and possibly hunt down pirates.

Why not just add a button that resets all your upgrades, but you DO NOT get your spent resources back or you can pay some price to de-upgrade one point at a time

I think that upping the level of players being able to kill pirates as they gain streaks would help deal with pirates or you could have it so that pirates have to be below or equal to the level limit as before, but that police could be higher than the level of the area and pirates could attack those people as well.
