Topic: Wartune / EXp boost a complete Joke

I agree with simbu95.

I’ve camped for a bit myself and I’m thankful for it because it helped me grow stronger. Still, one thing is camping for 1/2 months (which is so boring already!), another thing is camping for ONE YEAR. I’ve seen a couple of players camping at lvl 39 for more than one year straight. I don’t understand: where’s the fun in that? You might be a powerhouse in your BG but that’s it! Max honor lvl is Crusader for you and you’re not even halfway through, you’re stuck because you’ve got access to – let’s say – 25% of the game and you can’t even help that much in your guild because tell me how your 100K BR at lvl 39 would be of any help when everyone else needs LL NM and such. Furthermore, you’re hoarding tons and tons of items that you can’t use. Even “overcamping” is unreliable IMHO, especially on low levels. Plus, as someone else stated, it’s easier to seek for help or simply get carried over a dungeon when too weak than spending 6 months or more on some ridiculous way to accumulate resources (like trying to accumulate 10000 Insignia via Daily Spins only). Don’t get me wrong, everybody is free to play the way they like but one thing is playing a game for fun, another thing is turning a game into an insane lifestyle. Plus, we’re talking about very old servers here where the majority of players are lvl 70+ if not 80. Unless we’re talking about a couple of months maximum, I wouldn’t suggest camping: it wouldn’t be much of use anyway.

One good reason to camp would be trying to be competitive in PVP (arena and BG basically). The problem with this is that there are soooo many players now that even overcamping can’t make you 100% sure to win all the time. It’s just random. Yes, you can increase the possibility to win for you but you’ll never get to 100% IMHO. So why bother up to a certain point? There’ll always be someone much weaker/weaker/stronger/much stronger than you, no matter your BR.

I’m a lvl 74 mage with a 220K+ BR (Sylph/Eudaemon included – VIP only), which is pretty low if you consider the average on an old server but I don’t care! I play for fun. Devs want me to lvl up to 80? Good! I’ll get access to all in-game features, I won’t have to worry about EXP anymore and I avoid PVP action anyway because, aside from League Insignia which can be obtained with a bit of planning and patience, any other arena/BG resource can be obtained elsewhere, so… bring it on! I’ve got friends that can help me and – believe it or not – I can help them as well sometimes. Either I’ll have fun or discover I’ve messed up my toon so badly that I won’t play anymore. I’m fine in both cases. I’m a casual. :D

And another thing. Someone mentioned camping in order to be competitive against heavy cashers/whales. This is just WRONG. If you want to be competitive against a heavy casher, you have to become a heavy casher yourself, then cash a bit more. If you want to be competitive against a whale, become one yourself, then cash a bit more. Saying that you need to camp because you want to reach a heavy casher’s BR is so stupid because you’re taking for granted that that player will STOP playing/paying until the two of you have the same BR. This is unlikely to happen, I’m afraid. While you camp, they spend. If there’s a gap when you begin to camp, there’ll be a gap when you stop camping, unless they quit or get a pause from the game – sometimes it happens. The difference between you and them will be that they have fun and do whatever they want to do, while you camp in fear of being defeated repeatedly for a tremendous time, missing about 3/4 of the game.

TL; DR: It’s your choice. EXP is bad if you want it to be bad.

Aside from the time-change bug, I’m experiencing some annoying issue every now and then.

Sometimes the game just freezes all of a sudden and stays like this for 3 to 5 minutes (can’t even move the cursor), then everything starts working fine again. The point is that while it’s frozen for me, actions still keep going on the background so if this happens in a fight I lose control of my character.

I don’t know if it’s because of a recent Flash update – I use FireFox BTW. It happens with Wartune only.

Anyone else going through this?

A maintenance that lasts about 3/4 hours to fix “various linguistic issues”? Wow, either the devs are extremely thorough or the typos are THAT bad.

It’s fun though because on R2 servers nobody mentioned that. No typos to fix for once. Instead, they’re deleting unactive players from “their” S1…

Effimero – Kong 3

Since the last patch the sounds have been acting funny. The click sound and the victory fanfare have completely gone, while the music starts and stops all of a sudden with no apparent reason, regardless of the area you’re in. I’ve already tried clearing the cache/cookies and I also changed browser but nothing happened.

Also, the “Return” function in the Wilds is not working anymore. It does absolutely nothing now (at least for me).

Please fix these issues ASAP. Thanks in advance!

I’ll be honest. If nothing changes, I’m glad there’s that possibility, really, but I hope this happens just this once, because of the patch update planned AFTER the creation of the event. If exceeding the number of daily MP attempts is required, we can all waste the null run (for instance) on the Nether Forest, without sacrificing anything particularly important. But as I said, I really do hope this’ll be the one and only exception. Asking to players to run more attempts than the ones they’ve got every day just for the sake of an event quest it’s a bit unfair IMHO. I’d like not to see future quests asking for 5 MP runs per day or 40 arena party attempts per day just because “you can complete those quests even with 0 attempts left”. Please, make my worries unfounded and keep the game fun. :)

I have a question. One of the quests you listed for the August event (Let the Battles Begin!) requires to complete two MP dungeons per day. Will the Spire and the Tower of Kings be included in the count – so 1 MP dungeon + 1 Spire or 1 Tower of Kings – or will that quest be removed/changed?

Dunno if this was posted already, if so ignore it/fix it already :D. If not, here goes:

During spire, it’s possible to get a suntoria bug. When you are killed with suntoria active, sometimes when revived, you keep a 5-7 turn suntoria that doesn’t lose turns, but also doesn’t heal. The annoying part about this is though that when a new suntoria is cast, this old one doesn’t get replaced, so you’re stuck with a suntoria buff that doesn’t heal you and can’t get a new on that actually does heal you for the remainder of the battle.

I’ve experienced this many times. Also, I’ve experienced Suntoria working fine, healing as it should, but the turns of healing shown in the icon don’t decrease and get stuck at 7. You can replace it with another “working” Suntoria, but the buff icon doesn’t change. Sadly, we can’t really take a screenshot for that, but please fix it ASAP, because Suntoria is vital in Spire. Thanks! :)

A non casher can amass huge amounts of tokens and see them rot in the Guild Vault because there’s no way to use them at all. I haven’t seen a VIP trial ticket in months, and no, sorry but a 150+ VIP token stash is not enough to persuade me into buying the VIP membership, so while looking for a solution I came up with some ideas:

1) make them VIP exclusive, so make sure that only VIP members can find them in loot and card draws. Replace them with other prizes (eg: gold, daru) for non cashers. Easy-peasy!;
2) sell 1h VIP trial membership in the Glory Shop, but please (please!) make it affordable to almost everyone who takes part in Class Wars. Don’t sell it for 2000 Glory Points. You don’t want players to think you’re making fun of them, do you? Only cashers would be able to buy it with that price and they don’t need it anyway;
3) take the 26-days Check-in prizes and swap the Daru pearls (we get the same amount of daru daily through devotion) with a 1h VIP trial membership.

Honestly, I really don’t know if the R2Games Staff takes these threads in consideration, but maybe it’s worth the try. It’s a small thing but many would benefit from it:

1) non cashers would be able to spin the VIP Wheel at least once per month, getting rid of unused tokens and earning nice prizes too;
2) nice prizes for non cashers would make them more competitive, thus making the game less boring for cashers (many “heavy” ones quit because they are overpowered and find the game to lack competitiveness);
3) everyone would recognise that R2Games actually cares about players (wheter they cash or not), takes in consideration their needs, issues and ideas and gets down to work whenever it’s possible to make everyone happy.

Thanks in advance,

personally, it will make what r2games name the vip wheel as vip only lol.

so highly unlikely for them to do that.

That’s why I wrote option number 1: make VIP tokens VIP exclusive. If the VIP Wheel is for VIP members only, VIP tokens should be too and non VIP should NOT find them around. Just ideas though. :)
