I’m not sure if it is intended, but right after I had updated to 1.0.0.5, the game downdated again to 1.0.0.4.
Edit: I just got the prompt to update again.

Topic: Gravitee Wars Online / Suggestions megathread

  • I’d like to see the shooting time raised a little, maybe 45 seconds instead of 35.
  • Zooming out would be helpful too.
  • Special marks for your own “soldiers”, especially red and orange are hard to differentiate, even for non-color-blinds.
  • A list of your alive characters (e.g. when hovering over your name at the top)
  • You shouldn’t force us to watch tutorials. If I don’t want to build a level right now, I don’t want to watch the level builder tutorial, either. The Same applies to the weapons and character tutorial, of course.
  • I found the menu quite overloaded, inscrutable. Adding more space between buttons/panels and decreasing their size might’ve helped.
  • The image of one of the characters that explains stuff to you during tutorials is also unnecessarily large.
  • During the tutorials, we should be able to click for the next message to appear. It was quite quick for a foreign speaker to read.
  • customizable keys. WASD are not where you might expect on my keyboard
  • display a weapon’s base damage when hovering over it during a match
  • the replay site should have a start button and not start running automatically.
  • explain how the meteor works. no-one seems to know
  • when browsing games that are in need of another player, the “names” (e.g. “mission 1.2“) are blocked by “only level filtered games“ and “refresh”
  • tell us which unit the enemy has killed instead of just “enemy unit”
  • Have a range indicator for melee weapons or make the range larger. It’s harder to hit with a melee weapon than with a bazooka
  • the map MUST NOT MOVE while you‘re aiming!
  • if you‘re in a private game /chat (so before the game actually starts) and hit “back to hub“, it won’t work. you disconnect and reconnect again.
  • custom map ratings
  • a map modifier to shoot simultaneously
  • adjustable volume (instead of just on/off)
  • You can walk through shields. I guess you shouldn’t.

Do you really think it takes more time to write a function that gives out scientific notation than to tell the game EACH NUMBER’s “name”? Not me.

Maybe we can hope to see it impelemented in the next major update. I guess it would have been easier for the dev to write the numbers in standard notation.

I don’t think character limits reduce spamming. Links can be replaced by tinyurls and instead of one 500-character-“BLABLABLABLA”-post, you can create two (copy-paste). The big downside is that serious discussion is also prevented (if you don’t want to have a paragraph for every sentence, which would cause your post to be interrupted by others posting simultaneously). As ultima ratio, there’s still the option to mute people.

I hope this hasn’t been mentioned yet, but I find the 250-characters-limit in the chat annoying. Mybe set up the limit to 500 or even abandon it? What purpose does it serve anyways?
