Topic: Game Programming / To MMO or not?

I would recommend trying and if you are successful, give me a link and I’ll play it too see if there are any bugs(and brag to my friend that I’m playing a game made by a 16 year old).

okay, You guys are right, what I’ve been trying to make wasn’t an mmo, but a 1v1 multiplayer game and so

The rule of thumb is basically that if you need to ask how to make an MMO, then that means you are not ready to make an MMO. Even regular 1v1 multiplayer is problaby too much for you at this stage.

I can program in both AS2 and AS3 and I just need to know the code I need to store and retrieve data.

I’ve been making a game and I need to be able to store information on kongregate and then retrieve it (for a multiplayer game), so if anybody could give me some code that did that, they would have my utmost gratitude.
my programming language of choice would be ActionScript 2, but I do know AS3 so either would be great.

as a developer, I will never use premium content because I think it’s irritating and imposing to the players, if other people do, I can’t make them stop, but I am opposed to Kongregate encouraging me to spend money on other games.

developers already get money from advertisements
