Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / D10 Non-Premium

Definitely can’t pull off that Pylon trick, I’m having a hard enough time as it is.

EDIT: I beat it under normal settings. I simply surrounded the crafting pylon with cyan gems. Started out with 2 towers on either side with g3 gems, then a third in the middle. Then I added two more towers to each side of the middle one, and then amplifiers beside those. And obviously I upgraded and created new higher-grade gems along the way.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / D10 Non-Premium

So I’ve unlocked my first pylon, but not sure what my strategy should be. How should pylons be approached? Charge them up as quickly as possible? Rack up kills/mana elsewhere before activating?

I’m Level 24 and usually put most of my points in Focus (not sure if that’s good or not).

this is what i was meaning, for missions, if u play vs a xeno mission and u play II, enemy plays tremor wyrm, no way to kill him and in 4 turns he kills everything

the op should learn the significance of realism vs. game balance if he actually still thinks regen is broken.

I fail to see what realism vs. game balance has to do with the argument. Many people have complained that regen is OP (as I said before, I’m not of that stance), and one way to fix that is to stop allowing regeneration to activate when the unit itself isn’t active.

Eva helps II survive the Strike and Enfeeble combo by healing the first II fully, and once you buy Eva, you should get the Honored Achievement which will give you all your money back

Ah, thank you, I didn’t realize that about the achievement! I eventually want to collect as many cards as I can, but I thought spending 10k on one card right now would be a bit of a waste, but if I’m going to get back gold anyway, I guess it’s a no-brainer.

Then I guess I can use Eva and see how she does compared to Freddie and make up my own mind.

My question is whether Eva (Heal Imp 2) is really better than Freddie (Heal All Imp 1)?

I’ve been using Freddie + II (usually 8 + 2 Airstrikes) and it has been working well (currently farming 89).

Is Eva really worth 10k gold? Is it better to heal your starting unit(s) for 2 rather than doing a slightly better job of protecting against Strike Alls via the Heal All of Freddie?

@Muurahaiskarhu & Kholai, I fully understand how skills work and what are considered activation skills and not (I’m not a new player). What I’m saying is that Regeneration is not classified as it should be and is thus the reason there have been threads about its OPness (not that I particularly agree with that stance). And yes, Payback is the same thing, but I didn’t mention it mainly because I don’t see anyone using Payback strategically like they do Regen.

if you step back and take a look at what regen has in common with what you find acceptable, armor/flying/counter, then you’d realize they are the difference between offensive and defensive abilities.

Case isn’t closed, thank you. Heal is a defensive ability, yet that doesn’t work when a card isn’t active (nor should it), so your argument is invalid.

Armored and Flying are special attributes, rather than abilities, and one can make an argument Counter is the same, so those being “active” while a unit is not, is perfectly reasonable.

However, Regen is an ability and should not trigger – and yes, same goes for Payback and Evade (though the latter could be questionable, as I could see the argument that it’s an attribute rather than an ability).

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I haven’t seen it.

Regeneration is occurring even when a unit isn’t active (still on cooldown). A unit shouldn’t be able to regen if it hasn’t become activated yet.

Maybe “fixing” this will stop people from thinking regen is so OP right now.

I take two airstrikes rather than an EMP with my II deck because I often found that I’d have enough II out to take care of numbers, it was the high-HP guys I had to worry about, especially the flying ones. This has worked fairly well for me from 84 through 90. I do not have Eva, so I used Thadius for most of them, though have switched to Freddie recently.

I didn’t create this thread to whine about strike, I was simply curious about what people felt about 2HP and less units, as I’ve noticed that I don’t use them in my main deck (Xeno), nor specialized decks. After all, it’s one of the main reasons people use Irradiated Infantry decks – they can survive strike decks, while dishing out 3 dmg (with poison).

Topic: Tyrant / Are 2HP units worthless?

A simple question, really. With the fear of your opponent employing an EMP, has that effectively removed 2HP (and 1HP) units from the game?

Even an Armored Flying 2HP unit can’t escape from an EMP and evade is not reliable.

Thoughts?
