Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Jagged Alliance Online] Event! Ruin Rumble!

Way too much scum is crawling around in Bovilia’s ruins again, and they are organizing themselves. We managed to intercept some enemy transmissions regarding a convoy transporting weapons and other resources for the rebels’ camps. Weapons that might be worth having a look at!
You wouldn’t mind checking it out and redecorating the area with some nice rebel-guts for the upcoming tourism season and for some nice loot, right?

Start: 25. July 2013 – 01:01am CEST / 6pm CDT
End: 26. July 2013 – 00:59am CEST / 05:59pm CDT
Requirements: level 50

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Jagged Alliance Online] Patch Notes 23rd July 2013

Features:

  • To make crafting more rewarding than purchases, the crafting costs for armors and weapons were decreased by 50% and for components by 90%!
  • Warzone Bovilia was adapted to a level 50 mission. It will be available with reputation level 50, will feature increased difficulty and can drop legendary items. The warzone reward items were improved to comply with the increased difficulty.
  • The new contract ‘What’s Yours is Mine’ will be available for all players at a company reputation of 15 or higher.
  • Agency level 10 mercenaries were upgraded to level 13 and can now be obtained at reputation level 13. Their gear (when hired with gear) was also adjusted accordingly.
  • All contracts will now become visible on the world map at reputation level 14.
  • Minimum mercenary level requirements for several epic weapons up to weapon level 35 were increased. Those items can now be equipped with a mercenary 10 levels below the appropriate weapon level at the earliest.
  • The contract „One Percent“ (10) was reworked to provide a better, more challenging experience. Graphics and Layout were polished and the difficulty was balanced.
  • The price of the campaign has been lowered. It now costs 19,99 USD, 16,99 EUR, 13,99 GBP, 67690 RUB, 4380 BRL, 180 Kreds or 460 Gold.
  • Achievements of the contract “Letter of Marque” (33) were rebalanced.
  • Enemy balancing: Armor protection was reduced. Armor durability was increased. Health of armored enemies was increased. Enemy accuracy was reduced. Enemy damage was reduced.

Fixes:

  • The bug which opened up the daily reward window multiple times a day was fixed. It will now open once between 00:01 – 23:59 server time (UTC -7 = 00:01 PDT, 2am CDT, 7am UTC, 9am CEST)
  • Fixed a bug were the client got stuck in PvP matches if a user opened the “abandon mission” dialogue and let his turn end while the window still was open.
  • Special offer packs include FMJ ammo instead of AP ammo now.
  • The durability and the durability loss of all armors were increased tenfold to display the actual damage taken. This results only in a change in display, since balancing is not affected by this. (Before, durability loss was damage taken divided by 10, now durability loss is just actual damage taken).
  • Items in packages have a merc level requirement now.
  • Fixed and issue where build up aiming on destructible objects (like walls) generated an incorrect display of used action points. Building up aiming on destructible objects is no longer possible.
  • Magazine size of Rifle-type Crossbows were decreased to balance them closer to other weapons. Additionally, rI’eload costs of all crossbows were increased.
  • Weapon names are no longer cut off in merc pop up.
  • Focus fire will now add correctly 5% to the chance to hit targets: First step will add 5%, second step will add 10% and the third and last will add 15% to the base stat of your chance to hit when aiming from the same position at the same target.
  • The volume of the rare MP5SD3 was reduced to match its appearance.
  • It is no longer possible to buy items into the merc inventory without having enough cash.
  • Crafting components will now be available at the appropriate reputation level to comply with available blueprints.
  • It is no longer possible to buy items without spending cash.
  • A text in the German version is no longer cut off.
  • Starting with mission 10.4 “Delivery of Packaged Goods”, 4 mercs can be deployed instead of 3.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Jagged Alliance Online] Patch Notes 29th of May 2013

Features:

Jagged Alliance Online completely changed its business model into a free PvP game with an optional Campaign Pack DLC for a full single player experience!

The Campaign Pack DLC allows you to play the game just like any other downloadable game – buy once and play forever without worrying about paying ever again. No premium currency, no hidden payments – 100% pure game fun. You can use your team for both PvP and PvE freely!

EVERYONE who has played the game previously will AUTOMATICALLY have the full content of the game unlocked, so NOTHING will change for our existing players!

Here are the details of how it works:

  • Gold currency removed from the game. All gold gets converted to Cash using a factor of 500 Cash for 1 Gold.
  • Gold rewards are changed to Cash rewards.
  • All gold prices are now Cash prices.
  • Cash packages can now be purchased for Kreds.
  • You can buy a Campaign pack using Kreds.
  • Time is now displayed where the gold display used to be.

PvE:

  • Early mission maps were completely reworked. Enjoy the new level designs!
  • Contracts “Rise and Shine” and “Hell Hath No Fury” were swapped. “Rise and Shine” is now level 7, “Hell Hath No Fury” is now level 5.
  • All contracts up to “Hell Hath No Fury” can be played for free. To unlock further content, the Campaign Pack is required.
  • The complete PvP, the first two Warzones and the first Prestige mission will still be available to all players.
  • Mission 3 “My Home is My Castle” and 4 “High Noon” of contract “Hell Hath no Fury” contract were reworked and adjusted to the changes.
  • The difficulty of the first prestige mission “Castle Crashers” was reduced.
  • To compensate for the low chance to hit in the early missions, no enemy will use crouch up to level 10 missions (apart from those in the tutorial missions).
  • There are no more mandatory contracts except Arulco’s Last Dogs.
  • The health of barriers was reduced, especially in the early gameplay, to improve the game flow.
  • Loot drops are now always displayed with an outline – even in low quality graphic settings.
  • The Bonus / Malus for bringing weak / strong mercs to Warzone missions was increased.

PvP:

  • 4 brand new pvp maps were implemented. You can now start pvp-ing with level 7!
    – In addition to honor, PvP matches now also reward players with reputation, experience and cash.
    – Achieving silver will award you a 10% cash bonus. Achieving gold will award you a 30% cash bonus.
    – The bonuses for honor remain unchanged and still give: bronze: 10%, silver: 20% and gold 30% bonus honor.
  • Matchmaking:
    – The matchmaking calculation was improved to prevent unfair matches.
    – You will now get matched instantly if there is a valid opponent available. You will not be matched at all against unbeatable opponent. The weaker player still has the option to decline the match.
    – Losing a PvP match still grants you a third of the usual reward. Aborting a PvP match grants you nothing.
  • PvP Achievements were changed to: Land at least 5 headshots, Hit critically at least 5 times, and Take 30 or less hits.
  • Honor items are now cheaper. The prices were reduced by a third of the previous prices.
  • Several NEW Honor items with distinctive characteristics are available now!
  • All types of camo now count in PvP!

Gameplay:

  • The Hospital building is available again, but has a different function!
    – Upgrading the hospital will now raise specific body stats current and maximum value for ALL mercenaries in your company.
    – Endurance can be raised by 50 points, Strength by 10, Reflex by 20, Dexterity and Perception by 15.
    – If you had an upgraded hospital previously, you will automatically get the equivalent new upgrade.
  • Added zoom-in, -out functionality to the mouse-wheel.
  • All existing players will receive the campaign pack automatically, so no worries!
  • The Workshop now gets unlocked upon reaching reputation level 22. It’s no longer bound to completing the contract Maritime Mishap.
  • HQ Buildings now show a summary of upgrades and their bonuses in their title bar when you hover over the icons.
  • There are 3 additional rewards for your total login number 15, 20, and 35 granting you resources for HQ upgrades!
  • New Storage upgrades are now available which allow you to upgrade your storage up to 30 slots per category.
  • Debriefing screens were revamped:
    – The first page now shows a summary of the achievements and won Warpoints (Warzone), Prestige (PvE) or Battlepoints (PvP).
    – The second page summarizes gained cash, reputation, XP and honor (PvP only) and shows your reward items.
  • Changed the level-up effect in-game and in the merc portrait.
  • Added new tutorial screens throughout the game that will inform the player of the upcoming challenges.
  • Increased the mouse area for the head-hitzone for enemies. It is now easier to click on the target zone of the enemy’s head.
  • The mercenary’s stats tab now shows the actual as well as the maximum body and weapons stats.
  • The weapon skill impact on accuracy was adjusted. It grants you an easy to learn but hard to master approach (the first and the last few skill points increase weapon accuracy the most).
  • A new item category „Legendary“ (orange) is now available. They are extremely rare and have very distinctive features.
  • The light armor “The Bad & Ugly One” will be unlocked with reputation level 10.
  • The second bunch of available premium items of each category will now be unlocked with reputation level 14 instead of level 18.
  • Armors can no longer be swapped in missions. Be sure to equip the right items before you start!
  • Epic weapons have now a slightly higher damage range than premium items. (All epic weapons received additional damage of 2 and +1 range.)
  • There is more difference between premium and epic armors now: Premium armors give you good durability and protection, while epic armors have average durability but great protection.
  • The levels of some common headgear between level 12 and 14 have been switched to achieve a more diverse selection.
  • The drop chance for uncommon items between level 5 and 9 was increased.
  • There are now 3 advanced consumables available in the late game: Snake Oil, Steroids and Isotope 16. They have more powerful and longer lasting effects but cannot be combined with the normal consumables.
  • All mercenaries now start with 150 base Health Points instead of 250.
  • To compensate for the initial lower health of your mercenaries, damage dealt by enemies was adjusted and their health and armor durability reduced.
  • Gunner’s health bonus was reduced from 75 to 50, but each mercenary’s health can be boosted up to 160 additional health points with hospital upgrades.
  • A Reflex stat of 120 will add an extra action point.
  • The Dexterity stat was improved: 10 Dexterity give now 1% Critical Hit chance.
  • Armor: Critical hit cover and Critical hit bonus were adjusted to stat changes.
  • Current and maximum health as well as the armor value is now shown in the popups of enemies, destructible and your merc.
  • The calculation of how to perceive enemies was simplified. The detection distance now depends on the difference between stealth and perception of the involved characters. Click here for the details.
  • It is now impossible to interrupt an enemy when having less than 4 AP left.
  • The impact of crouching and half cover on stealth was increased.
  • Chance to hit in burst mode now displays the average accuracy over all bullets in the burst.
  • Enemy weapon ranges were adjusted to correspond to player weapon ranges. AI ranges will remain slightly better to make up for their lack of aiming ability.
  • The magazine size of low level machine guns were improved and the minimum range reduced.
  • There is new epic ammunition for all weapon types. You can get them by looting drops from enemies.
  • Assault Rifle recoil now increases with weapon level.
  • The item level of the Redshirt Armor was raised by two levels.
  • A level 22 blueprint for every weapon type was added.
  • While being in the HQ, the Jagged Alliance theme will be playing in the background.
  • All mercenary portraits will now display the full mercenary popup.

Fixes:

  • Flag in last mission of “Hell hath no fury” contract looks way better now.
  • Many maps were reworked to fix exploits. Just running through a go to mission with just one merc is no longer a valid strategy.
  • A lot of full- and half-cover bugs throughout the game were fixed.
  • If you don’t have enough resources to buy an upgrade, the missing resources are displayed in red.
  • Tooltips and Icons for Endurance and Strength perks were corrected.
  • PvP: Armor durability is now displayed correctly again if you played against the same opponent more than once.
  • If your enemy in pvp switches weapons it will be displayed correctly.
  • Damage range display in item shop is now displayed correctly again.
  • Fixed some reward display issues in the contract reward window.
  • No more purple screens between tutorial missions.
  • Updated some of the preview pictures of maps.
  • Weapons that have an aim bonus of 0% won’t show the aim bonus in their tooltip anymore.
  • Sell price and Buy Cash now use thousands separators for better readability.
  • Archetype of a mercenary is now listed in the tooltip.
  • Cover is now only displayed if you hover over a walkable field.
  • You can now look at a position that you can’t reach through walking.
  • The look at cursor was changed.
  • “Expand space with: “ is now also displayed for the armor section in the storage window.
  • Raven now lends her voice to triggered tutorial events.
  • The remaining duration of status effects is now correctly shown in tooltip.
  • The tooltips of consumables and status effects now also display their effects.
  • Fixed Noise / Alert display:
    – It is now displayed correctly again. You will now also see if an enemy alerted other enemies.
    – The icons for detection were updated to a yellow ear and a red eye.
  • Fixed a problem where the AI would not react to the death of a friendly AI that is in range
  • Stealth bonus is now displayed in item tooltip.
  • Fixed bug where the merc would move to a lootbox in the wrong movement mode.
  • Ammo tooltip now shows the critical hit bonus of the ammo if there is any.
  • Fixed a bug that showed the rebels tutorial window in a pvp mission.
  • Tutorial mission 3:
    – Fixed a bug which caused the camera to move to a wrong point at the end.
    – The end-boss enemy will now react to your mercs when standing right in front or next to him.
  • Fixed a bunch of tooltips in the HQ and on the Worldmap.
  • Fixed the display order of some windows on the world map. Shops should now always be above other windows.
  • When you switch between different mercenaries while a merc’s inventory is open, the inventory will now update correctly.
  • Health of a Mercenary is now always correctly updated after reskilling.
  • Fixed the sometimes cut-off 3D rendering of a mercenary in the mercenary shop and in his inventory.
  • The storage is now visible on the world map all the time.
  • You cannot aim for more APs than you have available anymore. This prevents you from having to cycle through aiming again if you don’t have enough AP for a full aim and accidently click once more.
  • Mission loot is now properly color coded according to their quality level.
  • All sounds will now be correctly enabled again after turning the sound off and back on.
  • Fixed a bug where a killed merc would still be the active (selected) character.
  • Fixed a bug which caused the merc not to move correctly if you had no weapon equipped and detected an enemy.
  • Fixed an issue where more than one status effect gained could cause problems for the game client.
  • Fixed a bug where the armor would be displayed as full after losing sight of an enemy.
  • All symbols can be used for company / mercenary names excep ‘[‘, ‘]’, and unicode \u1337.

Edit: Patch was postponed to tomorrow. Time will be announced as soon as possible. Sorry for the trouble.

Fixes:

  • Cash sound is correctly played upon paying for training.
  • The range and damage range of the MG has been raised. MG standard range changed from 13 to 14. MG standard damage upper range was increased by 7.7%.
  • The standard range of the assault rifle has been decreased from 13 to 12.
  • The standard AP costs of shotguns has been reduced from 6 to 5.
  • The noise of explosives has been reduced.
  • Interrupt can now only be triggered when the interrupted is within weapon range of the interrupter.
  • Emergency shop becomes available when starting “Arulco’s Last Dogs” – “Picking Up the Pieces” (3.1).
  • Clicking the button for the emergency shop in the Wounded Tutorial in mission “Arulco’s Last Dogs” – “Picking Up the Pieces” (3.1) now opens the emergency shop.
  • Cash price for the C-1934 machine gun was corrected. It costs 221.200 cash.
  • The yellow elite merc archetype icons in the shop are now clear and sharp.
  • Body armors are now the default subcategory for the armor in the shop.
  • Tooltips now explain the derived stats Health Points, Action Points, Stealth and Interrupt.
  • As the mission “Maritime Mishap” – “We Aim to Please” (19.4) unlocks the workshop, it is now mandatory to complete it before being able to proceed with other contracts.
  • Skills tab is now blinking again after level up.
  • Item shop was reorganized: Items are now sorted by level. If items are the same level, premium items for gold are shown first followed by premium items for cash and honor items.
  • Logout button is now enabled in the tutorials.
  • If your mercs were injured by an explosion that ended a mission, they will now be correctly healed again.
  • The “Improve skills” button is now shown again after cancelling and reopening the training interface.
  • Switching active weapon from the backpack while being out of sight from PvP opponent and then getting back into opponent´s sight no longer causes issues.
  • Your mercs will now be reset to normal state after switching to the HQ from a warzone deployment screen, where you just deployed a merc,
  • Contract rewards can no longer be claimed before actually finishing the contract

Fixes:

  • Armor Piercing value of Regular Bolts was reduced to 5%; Armor Piercing Bolts now have the same armor penetration as all other AP ammo – 15%.
  • Even when having the inventory open, the game continues running fluently when completing a mission.
  • The text in the “Visit World Map”-tutorial is now completely visible.
  • Damage range of weapons in the shop is now displayed correctly.
  • Pink borders around News Screen were removed.
  • Level up animation is now blue.
  • Mercenary tooltips for Health Points, Action Points, Stealth and Interrupt are now being displayed.
  • Selling a premium item that was purchased for gold gives you as much Cash now as selling the same item that was purchased for Cash.
  • Mercenary movement-behaviour was fixed, they now walk the shortest path again without zig-zagging.

Heya,

Sorry for the late response!

We realize that the last Naked PvP Event had too many and way to complicated rules which is why we try to keep it simple this time.

There is no required number of mercs that must be used. You can go with 3 and play against a player who uses 4. If you win, you win and get a point. If you lose, you lose.

Surrender rules for non-compliant match-ups:
If the opponent is 10+ levels higher than you: OK to surrender
If the opponent is wearing armor: OK to surrender
If the opponent has more mercs than you in the game: NOT OK to surrender
If the opponent is 10+ levels lower than you: NOT OK to surrender

If you have any other questions, please let me know. We want to be everything as clear as possible before the event starts.
