I don’t get the trouble people are having… hell, I did not use my main character a single time during the entire game. Until I had to fight the 6 town leaders, then it’s pretty much mandatory. I used my 30 man army to win all 47 towns. Plus auras and bow/crossbow thingies that you can do from the menu. Took me 3-4 hours total to do. Lost a few town battles, but that’s about it. If I lost to any city 2x in a row, I moved to another city. Kept attacking places til I’d win, then upgrade my army and repeat. I started with quests until I was level 5 or 6, but that was just to get some extra gold. Once I started attacking cities, I never did another quest.
There are 10 types of people in this world…. those that know binary, and those that don’t.
Not 100% related, but it was the closest internet cliche i could think of right now. As Rubix said… Reckless really isn’t “Easiest”. In the long run, as y0tta said, you should win the highest percentage of the time vs reckless (assuming you play correctly or close to correctly, which most people probably aren’t doing)… but reckless also has the best chance to pull a major, quick, and seemingly “rigged” win against you because of his RECKLESS nature. Cautious will almost never win in under 18 turns because of how CAUTIOUS he is programmed to play. And realist plays how you should be playing… factors of risk aversion weighed against probability for the best possible result.
And just like in poker, people only remember the bad beats… they don’t remember all the times that they went in with the best hand and won. Or the times when they pulled a 2-outer on someone else to steal a pot on the river. People complain when they get that one bad beat from reckless and scream bloody murder. They never recant when they then go and win consistently off of a solid strategy.
meat boy was censored because there was a flash video of a guy taking a crap and meat people sex. i didn’t see anything like that in retardo. you’re overreacting just a wee bit.
Cool newly uploaded sniper game with a serious plot to it. Definitely a good game. Like tactical assassin, only better graphics, more plot, more scenes, better storyline, and more precise shooting. Thoughts on it?
And, if anyone is having trouble with any of the missions, here is a walkthrough:
You realize that if the same level progression continued, JiG would be level 100 or so, right? Probably higher. I calculated it really quickly one time, but did it months ago. Likely somewhere between 100-110. With each level being ~5000 more, IIRC.
Just played this game yesterday… I found it to be a great game. Made a walkthrough for all levels. So, everyone should play it. If you have trouble, check the videos:
I wasn’t being serious with my comment… I said it to take the OP’s example to the extreme as a means to show why it’s not an amazing idea. Like, there are definitely pros to the idea. But there are more cons.
I do like the idea of only making accounts that have been registered for 2+ weeks (or something along those lines) eligible for winning, or level 5+ only (as that’s extremely easy to do)… just as an easy manner of preventing bot account name creation, then playing a game for 5 minutes to get the ticket. At least this ticket requires you to actually play the game to get… can’t just get it from a save file loading. Which, I hope, was the idea.
Apparently it wasn’t obvious if you had it on your shirt… I’m trying to be helpful and save you money. As far as printing… your best bet is to look in your local yellow pages and speak to someone in a printing shop. You’ll get higher quality work and a cheaper rate, plus face to face service and easy access for any potential customer service issues.
edit: it wasn’t condescending at all. But i’ll stop trying to give you advice and tips based upon my experiences.
there is a simple glitch in the first one… hold down A, click off the game screen, then click back on. you’ll continue to fire arrows until you hit A again.
Not a fan of the anti-moderator side of the shirt… better to have something that appeals directly to everyone, or is funny. stuff like “greg hates you” or “avoid moderators” is a bad connotation in a shirt.
also, you’d want to get permission from Kong before doing a shirt run… they own their logo and whatnot, and as such would be intitled to your profits off of sales, or some such. Getting clearance to do it is an important step. Plus, not sure you’ve ever done anything like this… but if you get 100 people who are like, “zomg i’ll buy this for sure!?!?” then you’re going to end up with 10 people who actually get it. Doing merchandise sales is not nearly as simple or straight forward as you’d think it is.
It would depend on the CPM. If the first game was uploaded months before the second, then the CPM would likely have been lower. Lower CPM means less earning per ad impression. So when you uploaded the second game, you earned more money per ad impression because of a higher CPM. Hence the difference. That’s the most likely explanation. Another factor is that “views” is not important… “ad impressions” is the important statistic. You make money (and Kong) from the ad impressions, not the views. So if you had 10 people view your game 1700 times each… your views would be high, but your ad impressions would be low. Make sense?
valkyrie: You can only have 3 J’Ardens… so that must be a typo from whoever’s deck you’re basing yours off of. My video shows my deck, which only has 3 J’Ardens, which is the max. Also, keep boosting your power for the first 4 turns. That will raise you to 5 (you start with 1, then 1 more for each of the 1st 4 = 5). That way you can send out your Artillery (or whatever big attacker/defender you have in your deck, if you’re not using a red deck). The first turn you’ll only have 2… so you can either send out 2 1 power attackers or 1 2 power attackers. I like to use 1 2 power attacker. My reasoning is that on the 2nd turn you’ll have 3 power, and you don’t always have a 3 power creature to send out, so you are now free to send out 1 2 power + 1 1 power. Then build and build til you’re at 5, and send out your Artillery. Once you’re at 5, start drawing cards and either play attackers or, once you have 4+ nice attackers on the field, play Battle Cry to give them all +2 for the turn. Hell, you could boost power to 6 and play 2 Battle Crys in 1 turn if you really felt like laying down the law in 1 turn.
There are 4 accounts at level 64. I’m 8th on the site, at 57. I’m still about 9000 away from 64. 9000 points is the equivalent of going from level 1-38 (roughly). Does that put it into perspective a bit? It’s REALLY hard to get to 64. The ONLY way to do it is to whore referrals. I’ve got over 250, plus almost all badges and about 5000 games rated, and I’m still ways away.
LOL. Oh. Didn’t realize it was your thread…. sorry, I guess. But, you have to realize that your thread IS crap, in terms of an OP and ability for further discussion. Not to mention, it isn’t like the 4 second games at all. And all you wanted to know was if people thought it was funny.
I saw that. Thought it was complete crap of a thread. And made this one instead. Plus, the walkthrough video is “worthwhile” of it’s own thread… figured it’d be better to have both in the same thread.
So, I first played this last week on Newgrounds… and it’s absolutely hilarious. Sadly, I have a feeling that many people will only get some/parts of it, or will think it’s funny for the wrong reasons.
This game is so satirical and witty and full of awesome puns and references. Not to mention the minor tweaks to the main “level” for all the different scenarios. Overall, it’s highly entertaining for the beginning and ending level scenes. The game itself is what it is… not much; but the point of the game isn’t really the game.
I’d say that some of the mini-games in it (especially the global warming one) could be tweaked a bit for smoother gameplay and controls, but really… who cares?
So thoughts, opinions, and discussions from the rest of you guys on this unique and hilarious game?
PS – if anyone IS having trouble with a level… I made a video and loaded it with annotations for assistance on specific scenes:
People keep asking about making guides for games that have randomization in them… and the point of the guide is to show strategy. Use a similar strategy with the cards you have and you’ll be fine. Same as 99 Bricks or Loops of Zen or other games. The important thing is the strategy, not the specifics.
And, there are countless decks that work for challenge mode, but many seem to need at least a change for either challenge 7 or 8. My deck allows you to use the same one for all 8.
