I had the same problem in the previous challenge. I submitted a bug report and they told me that this is a known bug. You do have the card, it just doesn’t show up.

Again: You don’t have to use MSN Messenger to login to your MSN account. You can use Trillian, Pidgin or Miranda and have your accounts from MSN, AIM, GTalk, ICQ etc. all in one program.
