Resonant Voices

Resonant Voices is interesting. Definitely taking a look at it but the combat kills the whole game. Could not finish it.

An interesting fighting style that I've not seen in any other games. You have to think about timing, position and choose fights wisely. I applaud the effort to do something new. It does 'feel' though that the character has no 'strength'. While you can parry (a bit) you can't 'fence' with your opponent. You can't seem to turn a blade and open up an opportunity to attack. And the character's walking suggests he's drunk or something. He drifts about like a fart in the wind when what you really need is to be able to place him where you need him. Fights become a stand-off followed by an uncoordinated dash where you may or may not run onto your enemie's sword before you hit him with yours. It would make sense if his movement became more uncoordinated as he took more damage but with him moving like this all the time, I unfortunately gave up. But a nice little game with real potential.
