Orbit Evolution is a fast-paced arcade action game set in a futuristic orbital arena.

Collect unstable energy fragments before the crystal timer runs out, avoid enemies, projectiles and danger zones, use your boost to escape risky situations, and survive through increasingly difficult levels. Every 5 levels, you face a boss battle where you must boost into the boss to damage it while dodging circular projectiles.

The game includes progressive levels, power-ups, unlockable skins, a shop system, local save data, hard mode, achievements, procedural music and mobile controls.

Target age rating: 7+ — suitable for most players. The game contains mild arcade-style action, abstract enemies and no realistic violence.

AI transparency: No AI was used

玩法說明

Keyboard controls:
- Move with WASD or the arrow keys
- Hold Space to use Boost
- Press P to pause the game

Mobile controls:
- Use the left joystick to move
- Hold the BOOST button to dash

Objective:
Collect all fragments before the crystal timer runs out. Once all fragments are collected, the portal opens and you can move to the next level.

Power-ups:
- Magnet pulls nearby fragments toward you
- Freeze stops enemies for a short time
- Shield protects you from one hit in Hard Mode

Boss levels:
Every 5 levels, a boss appears. To damage the boss, hold Boost and crash into it. Avoid its circular projectiles and survive until its health bar reaches zero.

Much better than the previous games, but the difficulty is unfair. The circles are not a good introduction so early on, at least in their state. They appear suddenly, deal damage soon after, and linger for a while (stop dealing damage only after they fully fade away). You simply don't get enough time to react to them while also keeping up with the timer and planning movement. Boss is also troublesome, needing even more introduction to stop getting hit, and randomly teleports upon transformation into a barely manageable bullet spam. Make the hitboxes smaller, add immunity frames upon dealing damage and leave phase 2 for hard mode. Heal upgrades tend to be completely useless in normal mode, as you rush through the level, affording one hit to regeneration, and may be broken in hard mode, adding lives and stacking with shields (shield) to make the hard mode easier than normal. UI and enemies tend to hide fragments. The entire shop can be bought far too quickly.

The difficulty scales much better now, at a cost of revealing some other issues. The game has enough replayability, but the lack of variety in every aspect is still noticeable. Game starts to lag the further you play. Heal upgrade is now broken in normal and can only be purchased once, that on top of shield being locked and speed having a limit of 4 leaves no options but to skip for the rest of the run. Heal upgrade is also underwhelming by itself, confusing new players not knowing about regeneration, being only an option if you get hit twice, the only option in normal once you get enough speed, and not an option at all in hard. Outside of bosses there isn't a reason to wait for boost to charge up higher than 20%. The first boss phase attacks are annoying but avoidable by diving during a pause, but that stops being a reliable option for the second phase due to frequency and a secondary attack. The attacks need to be telegraphed. A tip about attacking the boss for the first time too.

Hi, it was a bug with the hearts. I did an update which should fix all the problems (it was working for me). Thanks for your input :)
