Yeah, I was planning on having a progressive level system, but I just wanted to include all the types of enemies I'd created so far because it was a feedback experiment.

Not bad for your second game, but it's just too unoriginal. It's just Geometry Wars with worse graphics.

maybe un upgrade system to improve your speed or your fire rate when you level up. Add some music too because between a slow rate of fire, a slowly tank, no music... it becomes boring quickly. the number of ennemies at screen should be progressive with your level too.

I'll say it's OK. A thing for the future might be to change the feel of the controls. It's slow, and you get that "sloppy" feeling. An other thing you might consider is to turn of auto-shoot. A gamer likes to be in controll of everything.
