Great idea concept. Can we get an idea of how culture is calculated, I want to know what is my limiting factor is (wealth, availability, joy or identity) ?
Over time, I'll get this stuff into the wiki. For now, here's an answer for culture: culture power = (W * A * J * I)^(1/4) where W = wealth, A = availability, J = Joy, and I = identity.

Great game once it gets going, but it's a long drag until you get the first system occupied and then things really take off.
2 ways of dealing with this, either make it much quicker to take over the first system, or have some sort of tutorial system with rewards & quests to get you to the first system in as short a time as possible.
I love the quests idea. **EDIT** I loved it so much that I built the feature but not all the content. If you want to sacrifice one of your three game slots to see if the early missions help, I would love that.

Is it just my old pc being really slow or anybody experiences a significant lag (a few seconds) almost every time you switch a screen?
Is it better now?

I feel the speed of the idle in the first few hours is kinda detrimental to longevity of people getting into the game, I love the concept and overall its great just a few adjustments to early game scaling and you can make the game feel more responsive to keep players interested.
**EDIT** Bumping my question. You've got three slots and I've re-balanced the beginning. I'd love to hear what you think of the new beginning. Thanks.
