Decent start, good scaling, both in cost of items and appearance of enemies. Never felt like it was going to take forever to get between stages.

I would suggest you move the upgrades from a separate popup into a sort of frame on the right side of the screen. You've got a lot of unused space underneath the entrance area and to the right of cannons that you could do something interesting with.

Fun little game however lacks content. I would personally prefer it if the guns were grouped so all machine guns would be one button and the price would increase when u buy each one. Also upgrades (simply dmg or firing speed) would be nice. And finally if you are planning on making another idle game add a prestige function.
Hope you understood all of that.
