This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. For those interested -Scene/location/translation: ●3/box/About the dead speak either well or not at all. ●6/exit/It behoves one to live. ●7/guy wanting shovel/The good man prolongs his life; to be able to enjoy one's past life is to live twice. ●7(dark)/same spot/Man die many times when they lose someone who is dear to them. ●7/underground/Speak no ill of the dead. ●7/underground2/When I shall die, let it be doing that I had designed ●8/checkpoint/Ill plans are worst to the contriver. ●9/Bridge/Know thyself.

This totally needs a non-standard game over ending when you ignore Death and use the key to open the second door.
