I gave your game a 5/5 just to counteract the bad rating. I like that you made this game, because I really enjoyed it on gameboy as a child and I was really happy that I found a clone of Qix here on kongregate. The game needs "Pause" and it should be less laggy. Maybe you can boost the game if you make an upgrade system. The hero could travel faster, get some rocket boosters (holding SPACE--> speed boost for a while) , shooting against enemys (maybe freze) etc. There are tons of upgrade possibilites. :-)

i gave the game a one star just to counteract the nonstalgia blind idiot. the game is buggy to near unplayableness and therefore deserves criticism. just because there are better completely unrelated games with the "qix" name on it doesn't excuse this games misgivings.
