It depends which palm, but the simplest answer would be "few days". It will always grow up from the shop. There may be special islands/events when already existing palms don't grow up.

here are a TWO bits of wisdom: a) you can get bonus XPs if you move over the drops from your actions within a short time period, if you manage to move over 5 items before they disappear you get 2 extra XP, for a combination of 13 items you get another 10 extra XP, and if you get 23 items in a row, you get another 15 extra XP.so if you are placing 12 fields to plant food, that would be a guaranteed 24 drops, and you could earn an extra 27 XP from that
b) the path are increasing your walking speed, the higher quality the faster you can run on them, so they are not just for decoration or reputation (especially if the island gets bigger this becomes important)

@Pjobooklover: My Crystal Ball tells me that it will later in the game needed for multiple things. I could imagine things like fountains, sprinklers, creating ice, building an aquarium/pond, maybe even to extinguish fires or some kind of machinery.

@freelance6210: for you to have people to visit (and to send daily gifts to), you need to FRIEND people outside the game (so in kong itself). you can do so on any kong webpage by clicking the people icon in the top part of Kong, then you see yourFRIENDS, and you can enter people's kong name to FRIEND them. OR if they aledy firended you (like I did) you can just on that friends page click on FAN's and then see who friended you, and you can just click on them to FRIEND them there. Again, to be able to visit people and send gifts in Oceania, you have to do those action OUTSIDE the game, in kong itself. Hope that helped.

Some general advise for best Co-op experience: FRIEND other people on KONG so you can visit them daily, once you reach level 16 send gifts to your neighbors in the game, visit your friends daily (5 actions per friend, most of the time harvesting crop is the best option for both people, if you have extra food feeding animals even offers more XP for you, if there are no crops or animals, tending things like banana tree, coconut trees, water well or camp fire in higher levels are good actions as well, if nothing else is available then do things like regular trees or rocks or thorns or bushes). Again, this is a co-op game, so be FRIENDS and help each other out. You have friended me already, right ????

Question to the more advanced players: any sign of getting a free blueberry bush ? Like the banana tree where we found one for free, any hints of that yet ? and any hint yet to get a pick axe to get rid of those bigger rocks yet ? And as always, FRIEND me, so that we can work together, visit each other, and send gifts to each other (once you reach level 16)

Okay. I can't get a workshop because it says I need to clear the shore. Is there a piece of something I'm missing because I've gone over every bit of the island looking for something to clear and all that's left are trees and rocks which I can't clear until I get a workshop.

as FunnyMan said, take your time, and READ the QUEST Texts, and look into the quest book. AND most important. FRIEND the people that play the game in kong itself, then you can visit them, and help them. YOU gain free XP by visiting them, and at level 16 you can start sending FREE gifts to others as well. but you need to FRIEND them outside the game. so look in the discussions and add the people that are active posting as FRIE$NDS in kong itself, not just in the game itself. as soon as you add them as a FRIEND in kong outside the game, the next time you restart the game they should appear as a person to visit in the bottom. If you visit 10 friends in a day, thats easy 100 extra XPs fopr you, and you might even get some drops, and some quests require you to visit people. I have friended nearly everyone I noticed playing the game, so go ahead and friend me (and others) and we can all help each other. And no, you dont need to buy rubies, you can do it without them. See you in the game.

Guys, just read and complete quests, they themselves are a great guide. This game is easy to understand and doesn't really demand money. You are not supposed to unlock and explore everything within a day.

game BUG ?: friends come and chop at your trees, and you get some rewqard, but the trees are not damaged after it. and often they seem to do something to coconut trees, even so they are not ready to be harvested so no action is done. is there maybe a delay that is there, and the trees were already updated before you accept the friends help ? the friends help on crops works fine.

So, I've harvested everything I can harvest. When can i craft an axe or fix my ship? When can I buy the workshop? I've got the shells for it, but not the level and I can't see how I can gain levels without an axe or fixing my raft

there was a problem and the game said it would go back in time to fix it. But it still took all my energy but didn't give me the resources from the bushes. Also it put the bushes back but now I don't have energy to harvest them. This is maddening because I paid for 20 energy and lost it all with no benefit to me

Does anyone know a discord or wiki for this game ? as i can't find anything out on the internet to get tips or hints or just sharing of info how to play it. Things like the Cave and the keys (whats worth doing to earn them, whats not, ...) or other game strategies would be very appreciated. I think each LvL you gain should add +5 total energy. So at lvl 2 you would have a max of 25 at Lvl 3 Max of 30 energy. This way you can actually have enough energy to do the more things needed as you get higher lvls.

@TogaLynch in the shop you can find salt and sugar for shells as well. Just don't use the cooking/crafting links, as in there it only shows the ruby price.

low level animal like the Hen (even adult) fall sick after 8 hours ? that is barely enough time to have a night of rest. shouldn't that be at least 24 hours to allow someone to keep the hen and maybe get the eggs more often ?
Actually it is 10 hours, because after feeding there is 2 hours to get hungry and then 8 hours to get ill. It's kind of part of game that you plan your time what you will be able to grow taking into account your time.
If we are talking about hen, it will get a bit easier later. You can buy brown hen which has 4 more hours (even without buying rubies, but collecting by leveling up. it's not that expensive) or ostrich (needs more food, but 42 hours).

game bug: you can HEAL the first sick hen, even if you can't reach it. Should likely make sure you can't do that, as you might not be able to get to the hen in time before it falls ill again

nice idea, but I don't think you can ADD people as your friends on kong anymore, as there is no chat and posting for friends to click/accept. And the energy usage is TOO high to get anything done. So sadly a big fail on this, sorry, even so I like the idea of the game.

A nice simple game for when you're tired or not feeling up to saving the world and quite fun until you run out of energy. Sadly that will happen pretty fast, so not a game that can be played for long periods. It's OK.
You got it right, it's not a game that is meant to be played all day long. When you will get max energy about 100, then you can play twice a day the game. At the beginning you have to play more often to spend all energy or advance a bit slower by not spending all potential energy.
