Thanks, Andicus (and to Abbe in the walkthrough page comments)! If I hadn't read your post I probably would have wasted half the day trying to get it to work.

Puzzle two appears impossible from its starting configuration. You can't change the parity of the puzzle, and yellow and purple each have 4 blocks with the same parity. Each line requires a parity of 2 and 3, or 3 and 2.
