if you notice, every number you pick(after the math) is a multiple of nine. Now check and you will find that every multiple of nine has the same symbol. ITS MAGIC!!!!

Original number can be written: 10*a + b
And the math is:
10*a + b - ( a + b) = 9 * a
If you insist with the "algorithm"
