Finicky controls are ~never~ a good idea to use on purpose to add the challenge. Other than that, really good game!

personally i like the thinking parts of the game the how-to things where you actually need to use your brain the sovle a level. On the contrary i dislike the timing stuff where you have mentally finished the game 2 hours ago but let your square run into lazers once again because you kept the movement key pressed down a moment too long. Nevertheless I finished all levels. Level 20 was fun though, but I did need 4 squares less than what were given. Oh and level 17 is lying :P
The finnicky controls and timed lasers were supposed to add to the challenge, but I kind of agree with you: my favourite levels are the ones that require a brain to solve! Good job on beating the game! :D

Resolved to myself that I would finish every level. But seeing that 'extra' level with lasers firing at different frequencies? Yeah, I'm out
