Drag gears and place them just like the blueprint.

hard to grab gears... can you add a pinching animation? I think that would work better than a bigger click field with the gears all stacked like that. It's pretty, but no one likes to pixel hunt I think.

Are completed watches supposed to show or unlock something under memories? what do you mean by play through time? coming up with dialog or a story that unfolds as you progress might be nice
