Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. For those of you who are complaining about the ending...I looked up the meaning of "Samsara" and it makes more sense to me now. Samsara is a concept in some eastern religions: it is the passage of life and of the soul, of reincarnation, dawn and dusk. It's an endless cycle, and the goal of some of these eastern religions is to "break free" of this cycle by achieving "enlightenment." The phone at the beginning said to "search for enlightenment." You reincarnated into creatures over and over until you were able to "escape" the room, which was like breaking free of the cycle. it's a particularly westernized idea to be rewarded with money and stuff at the end of a game, but this game is very eastern in philosophy. See, the goal was not to get cake or rewards for escaping the room. Escaping the room itself, by achieving "enlightenment" (the ultimate state of mind according to those religions) was the goal all on its own.
