遊戲簡介
In Search of Purpose is a simple 2-D platformer. You play as a nameless robot, who has no purpose in life. He is, as the title suggests, searching for one. He enters a temple, looking for adventure, and quickly finds it…or it finds him. Now trapped in this strange environment, the robot has no choice but to continue on, trying to find a way out. However, there are many dangers that he must avoid, including the spirits of the temple’s past residents. Most of these spirits still harbor evil intent. This maliciousness, unless the robot can escape, will be spent towards him.
The game consists of 9 “real” levels, and 2 choices for the ending. The player can either choose between going to Heaven or Hell. Each branch has its own ending screen, as well as another that isn’t necessarily supposed to be seen, and is sort of a bonus. The objective of each level is to touch the glowing goal at the end of each level.
The inspiration for the game was largely need-based; I wanted to make a game, and the design was simple enough that I could pull it off, but interesting enough that I wanted to keep working on it. This is the first game that I have published online.
