To open the in click on the magnifying glass icon of the tin can and drag the tin opener to it.

Gah, creepy vampire dog doesn't show up in the mirror.
The games by this creator are very nice, I just wish there was a note saying that items have to be dragged from the inventory and dropped on things to interact. I was about to ragequit one of these earlier because I couldn't figure out why nothing was working. :|
