I know for a fact I could have done better on my FIRST game (if i had flash)

Ok so it's a sidescrolling shooter. Like any other sidescrolling shooter it has potential because the base of the game is the same like any other sidescroller...
Make the enemies a bit smaller, make multiple types of enemies (each with their own different movement pattern), let enemies return fire, make ur bullets smaller, polish up the graphics -.-' , make the title screen a bit more attractive... and perhaps add some powerups (basic like extra speed or auto fire) start out with improving these points after u get the hang of movement patterns and return fire patterns for enemies it will be easier for u to make bosses (which is also very needed). I've seen better first games but don't give up! ^^
