3/5 because without the written walkthrough by one of the players, I never would have known to get keys, let alone what to use them on as nothing had visible locks on them! Everything was just a guessing game. Including once the items were removed from the cabinet and new ones put in their place. I did everything and the baby didn't show up. I didn't know that I needed to click on the skull! Had potential, but was extremely frustrating because of the continual confusion!

I was following everything, and was able to follow the visual clues (from the painting and the gravestones) that the mother had been resurrected and that the baby needed to be resurrected too. Stumbled upon the drinking blood in front of the mirror; a bit of feedback (like "seems thirsty") would have helped. But without reading the comments, I would never have learned that I needed to get the baby, let alone dipping the dummy in blood first. What would have helped would have been adding thoughts "I need baby" whenever the baby ran past, and perhaps "baby needs more to com to me" when trying to to grab it. Things like that would also add to the atmosphere without spoiling the ending. Add to that a description of what is in your inventory, and this would raise the game from being merely "pretty good but frustrating" to full on "excellent"

Some of the puzzles were wonky though they still worked. The items definitely need a description or an enlarged image since some items were up to clicking on everything to figure out. I had no idea I had a fishing pole. Other than that, there is a sad, depressing story here that I would love to have more fleshed out.

The story in this game was creative for the genre and fun! Heads up, if suicide is a triggering subject for you, you might want to sit this one out.
