A solar-powered upgrade isn't the most practical underground tool..

The amount of energy consumed (and the distance the digging energy can travel) is determined by the amount and density of dirt between your drill and your cursor in a straight line. However, your drill digs some dirt along the sides of the path of the energy wave as well, so if you want to save energy, aim your cursor in the open space right next to the dirt you want to dig. If done right, you should consume only 1 energy for digging, since you're digging the "air" and not aiming directly at the dirt. This is best done when digging downwards at an angle of roughly 45 degrees, standing at the top of a tunnel and shaving off the sides. You can even consume 1 energy to dig a little bit at a time into hard rocks and dense dirt - remember to keep the cursor a few pixels away from the rock when aiming at the open space.

One thing that would be nice is if the day didn't immediately end when you hit zero energy. I want to get to the surface and recharge, but I can't use my entire battery without the day ending. Also, possibly some sort of purchasable rope or ladder, in case I'm low on energy and need to get back up a steep shaft. Other than that, great game! Thanks!

The upgrades are very creative. Usually you mindlessly dig down vertically but in this game you have to think about what you are doing so you can return to the surface to recharge.

Main character looks like a Minion from Despicable Me.
