I'm attempting to make a new game every single week. They may lack polish, but they're good for exploring game ideas and getting better at game development.
This is Week One. It's my take on a shmup, in which you must juggle maintaining your shields with attacking the enemy.

Hey man!
As a fresh developer (thinking about starting the one game a month challenge :P), seeing this done in a week is pretty impressive!
Nice concept, really cool style (with that kind of a short deadline and without an artist, we have to do with simplicity, but the result is sometimes really really cool, and that's the case here)
btw. what did you code this in?
All in all, great job, looking forward to the future ones ;)
