Get rid of the spinning Hit and Miss animations. Lower the points needed to increase the aiming skill. Maybe have a skill tree. Include some elements or player based influence.

Good concept ruined by too much waiting and clicking.

So, what could fix it? Keyboard usage, automatically selecting the last target? What would you like to see?
