1. Armaments
You must have weapons and ammo. Gun stores and Nat. Guard depots are your goals
2. Safe House
A defensible building free of zombies. Contains stocks of food, weapons, ammunition, tools, and appliances to better survive.
3. Food
You must have food to survive. TIP: Perishable food is taken and eaten first. Canned goods are saved because they last longer. Check the expiration dates and the food itself to see if it is edible. Also, you may need to farm after a while because fresh food will become unable to find.
4. Tools and Appliances
You are going to need tools to build and repair things. Hardware stores will have about everything you need.
5. Vehicles
Vehicles will be needed to move you, supplies, and other survivors to different places. Trucks are useful for carrying large amounts of food and large parties of survivors. Vehicles also make good barricades and can be moved into the right place by themselves.
6. Survivors
It is good to have other survivors to help you, depending on how trustworthy they are and how much food you have. Cooperation is and has always been humanity’s greatest strength.
7. Protection
Protection from the zombies themselves is simple enough; just shoot them. Protection from the zombie virus itself, however, is different. Cleanliness and medical supplies are crucial to prevent spreading. If the virus is airborne, there’s not much you can do. Long clothing, to cover all of you, is helpful for some things. Armor-like clothing is good too to protect from cuts, falls, and zombies.
This is general survival information. It is up to you what to defend your buildings with, and what buildings to defend. It is your choice of what weapons to use and what survivors to help or reject.
