Kongregate used to be the best gaming site on the web, but the staff was fired, forums/chat removed, and game uploads disabled. Adobe also put a killswitch in Flash, making it hard to play older games and impossible to get their badges. So Kongregate is mostly dead now.

Some games like Amorphous+ deserve to live on: Many flash games and animations can now be played through Flashpoint and the higher profile games have been (re)released on Steam. You can also get your indie fix on itch.io.

My Kongpanions Earned chart shows the slow death of Kongregate.
