Looks fine, BUT I think you have to be at least 3 blocks away though, which is weird and totally unnecessary. I'll reduce it to 1 for next update haha.
Err, I guess I'm the bug collector. If you put a bookshelf as a backdrop, you can't interact with it at all. I can't destroy it, get my books back, and move it around. Only thing I can move is the enchantment table itself. But if I move it, I'd have to make brand new bookshelves.
And maybe another bug. You can have silk touch and fortune 3 on the same pickaxe. This shouldn't be possible because you can't mine ores with a pickaxe with silk touch, so the fortune 3 enchantment would never proc.
I think this is an oversight when I first added enchantments. One of those "I'll do it later" things. Will be in next update, thanks for reminding me xD
Sorry for all these questions, but I haven't been able to find answers anywhere. How many times can you repair an enchanted tool or equipment? And can you use enchantment books on an enchanted tools? e.g. if I have eff 2, unbreaking 4 diamond pick, can I get eff 5 onto it or upgrade it any way with enchantment books or otherwise?
Haha looks like it does a half-heart of damage depending on how close you are. I'll x6 for the next update. Also creepers spawned with a mob egg will be fixed too. Thanks for pointing it out!
Also couple of other things I wanted to ask. It seems like there is no penalties for death in survivor mode? I've never played Minecraft before so it was a learning experience, and I died probably no less than 10 times already. Yet, it seems I kept all of my items and experience on death (unless I died in lava/acid). Is this intended? Also, I've read that experience gains should be diminished the higher your level is, but I haven't felt the effect of that. Getting from level 140 to 141 feels as easy as getting from level 1 to 2. Is this also intended?
Both seem fine to me. The only penalties for dying are that you have to find your items again, and half of your experience disappears. If you want to keep your levels, you can always bottle them up in an empty bottle using the enchantment table.
Surprisingly, I've managed to get enough leather to create 22 bookshelves (5 more to go). Still would be nice to implement breeding into the game. Been so desperate for leather I've been fishing (leveled from 70 to 140 now just from fishing). On the bright side, I'll have more than enough levels for enchantments when I finish the rest of my bookshelves.
Looks like a player just copied passages from the Minecraft wiki for that page. It's mostly correct still, at least. You did find a bug though, thanks for posting it. :)
Think I may have found a bug. I tried to repair an unenchanted fishing rod with another fishing rod, and the repair cost came out to be 84000. The game told me I didn't have enough levels, but 84000 is not exactly a reachable level.
Also want to ask, how big are the differences between seeds? For example, I'm on 166607. Will I miss some mechanics, biomes, or items within the game because I got lucky or unlucky with seed generation? I haven't seen any melons or mossy chests that I've read of in the comment section yet.
To an extent, yep!
An estimated 1/10 of the worlds get a mushroom biome. But, for example, you can get melon seeds by using bone meal on grass. Most items are renewable :) (even dirt is renewable).
Hey Zanzlaz, I saw on the wiki that the best enchantments require 27 bookcases. So I set about farming sugar cane, tilling and watering my land, etc. However, I find myself short on leather. I can't force cows to generate and apparently I can't make them breed in my pen either. Can next update address this?
Just died and lost everything in lava. Got greedy for some iron ores and dug the square right under me thinking the drop wasn't that steep. Turns out the fall was enough to kill me and all of my stuff sunk into lava...
