In the near-15 years I have owned this account, I’ve paid attention to the progress of this site every now and then to see how things have gotten, and frankly I’m happy to say that the site’s at its absolute worst yet.

Sure, you can work on the cracks on a site that’s been downward since the GameStop acquisition, introduce Ruffle and whatnot to counteract the Flash death, but how do you screw up what Kongregate used to be? It just looks like a somehow-crappier Pinterest, minus the Google search pollution. How did you even manage that?

The game links look like some mobile game ad vomited on my screen and are on the verge to demand ridiculous amounts of money to make even the greediest of gachas blush. The promoted games looks like you just cut-pasted whatever Zynga-ass abomination from last decade and you’re holding it up like it’s some kind of honour that you managed to host a fucking Farmville clone that probably paid up their ass to plaster their shitty asset swap on the front page.

A real shame what happened here, really.
