People hated my review of Papa’s Burgeria :(
Part 1. A promising concept ruined by terrible gameplay. 1. can we speed up the ordering process and “do I like my burger process?” 2. Not enough item variation; Only the bell, heat lamp, and burger timer affect the gameplay in any meaningful way. 3. Logical inconsistencies – why am I paying for burger shop amenities with my tip money? Why is Big Pauly still alive after I fed him a triple cheese burger with mayo every day for a month? 4. Not enough gameplay variation. I build a burger. Repeat. The only difference is how long I cook the meat. All the ingredients are essentially identical and interchangeable.
Part 2. 5. Other improvements – If I leave a burger on the grill way too long can it burn down the restaurant? Wasted burgers should cost money. Can characters die if they eat too many burgers – maybe you have to turn away the rolling corpulent sack that Big Pauly becomes every now and again to keep him out of the hospital so he can continue buying your burgers for long-term profit. Customers should stop coming if you make them bad burgers—Wally’s Alzheimer’s keep him coming back for more blackened meat stacks. 1/5
