We just talked about UI stuff, and then shortly afterwards I had an AI match in which I had a whole bunch of allies / defenses and some attacks landed, so I wanted to check over which ones I need to heal, but those little hearts are really hard to see sometimes. So I zoom in with C+scroll, but it turns out I have so many cards in play that they don’t all fit into view when zoomed in.
So I try fullscreen mode to allocate more screen real estate to the problem, but boy, what a disaster! Apparently the keyboard commands (sometimes? always?) don’t work in fullscreen, so I can neither zoom back out, nor use shift-click to launch all my magic at once. So I hit escape to exit fullscreen and it promptly concedes the game I was just about to win. Lovely.
Can we have some kind of quick-view mode? You hold some letter key or other, and it gets rid of the delay that occurs before it starts zooming in on a card on mouseover. If I want to inspect all my cards in a row, I should really be able do that without a ~0.7 second delay for each card, and this way would provide a handy solution that I’m sure more players than me might find useful.
I’ve looked at how the deck editor handles the zoom; that would be a very good starting point for this mode, except the zoom should be even speedier. What do you think?
(I’m using firefox btw; I figure that might be relevant in case you want to investigate those issues with fullscreen or something. There always seem to be issues with switching focus between within the flash player and the kong interface around it, especially chat; that might have something to do with it, too.)
