Sculpting has more to do with sculptures than scalping, but recently you have scalped the PageRank of your website rather than sculpting it.

Matt Cutts dropped a few comments about PageRank Sculpting on the SMX a few days ago, suggesting that PageRank Sculpting has been scalped by Google in the meantime. Back then, when the nofollow attribute was introduced, everything seemed clear. Nofollow links did not inherit a PageRank, so the PageRank saved in this way was well distributed over the remaining normal links. This should no longer be the case. Matt says that the PageRank is no longer redistributed to the rest of the links, but mostly fizzles out. That has interesting consequences. And I am surprised that no one has yet made this clear.

PageRank Sculpting damages your website!

Provocative? Not really. At least not if you look at the original PageRank formula. Because by fizzling out the PageRank, PageRank is now actually given away, which would otherwise have benefited the rest of the pages. If you have fun, you can take the old PR formula in hand and do a little math. Assuming that Matt’s statement about PageRank Sculpting is correct, I claim that PageRank Sculpting not only does nothing anymore, but actually damages one side. At least from a PageRank perspective.

I definitely recommend you take a look at call recorder application. The Seo expert, well known as a PageRank whisperer, gives some good tips on how to properly use it. And that doesn’t require any knowledge at all.
