Kannst du deine Profi-Lizenz verdienen und zum Neid aller Atlantik-Angler werden? Das Spiel bietet fünf Angelplätze, fünf verschiedene Ködertypen (jeder mit eigener Fangmethode) und 68 Fischarten zum Fangen.
Spielanleitung
Steuerung: Nur Maus. X) Klicken zum Auswerfen der Angelschnur. X) Klicken + Halten zum langsamen Einholen. X) Doppelklick zum Rucken der Leine. X) Doppelklick + Halten zum schnellen Einholen. So lockst du Fische an:
X) Spoon – Langsam einholen.
X) Jig – Abwechselnd schnell einholen und stoppen.
X) Plug – Abwechselnd langsam einholen und rucken.
X) Fliege – Auswerfen und warten. Wenn nach fünf Sekunden nichts anbeißt, erneut versuchen.
X) Köder – Einfach auswerfen und warten. Lebendköder muss neu ausgeworfen werden, wenn er im Wasser stirbt.
So fängst du Fische:
Kombiniere deine Ruten-Techniken, um den Indikator im “Sicher”-Bereich der Angel-Leiste zu halten. Bleibt er zu lange im Stress- oder Schlapp-Bereich, verlierst du deinen Fang! Schwäche die rote “Lebens”-Leiste des Fisches, um ihn zu ermüden und einzuholen.

This is a wonderful game! Besides a few kinks, such as when one reels in and you can't cast, it's a lot of fun. A solid concept that is both casual and more hard core, it offers a wide range of fun for users across the spectrum. I would agree with what a few other users have said in that it would be nice to have more upgrades, such as poles, boats, even out fits might be a nice perk. This may be a bit nit picky, but I would love to have the option of choosing between genders. Is it possible that a female character can be created as well?
All in all, I liked it! I hope it sees the front page of Kongregate with achievements in the future!

Depending on the general reaction that this fishing experiment gets, I was hoping to go further with the concept with custom characters, customized rods lures and bait (including color, scent, etc), and maybe even a map where you get to pick the location and the game constructs the background and fish types for you based on your choice (so rare fish don't so much spawn less frequently, as they only spawn if you pick the correct spot on the map, etc). I have big plans for the sequel/follow-up if it takes off :)

it would be great if we had "fishcyclopedia" ingame, to see different types of fishes, where to find them, what do they eat (which lure to use), what are normal sizes for them etc etc etc. because this way, hunting for a specific type of fish can be really hard.
I am thinking about putting together something like that on a little HTML doc linked to from the game :)

Shouldn't you be able to buy a stronger line?
Definitely needs a mute button.
Game would be better with upgrades, and not just a bunch of different lures.
As for fishing sharks, they're both difficult and take forever to catch.

Fun game, but if I'm fishing, beer is a must. No beer makes Homer something something.
Agreed! Best part about fishing at home is that the beer is always cold.

Not sure if its the last mission, the 5 Sea/Fresh-Water Toughs in a row. But anyway, the damn Salt-Water side of the mission is causes more rage than any game has gave me in quite some time xD I've got to 4 3 times, then hook up on a shark and the jerk snaps my line. Rarely whine over a hard game, in fact I prefer it, BUT, maybe just maybe widen the sweet spot for sharks ever so slightly?
