I had all three badges on this game, because I love it and played it a lot. I came here today, all my badges are gone. So I played again, got to level 10, scored nearly 18,000, nothing. No badges. I used the "Report missing achievement" from another game, changed the game to Globetrotter - it only allowed me to select the Easy badge (although I'm missing all three). Submitted - loading, loading... page not available. And for the record, I don't give a rat's ass for chat stickers, what is this – Kindergarten?
Dang. Based on this game, I was going to move to Madagascar in the event of a pandemic. But my country has already closed its borders and I can't travel anywhere, oops.
I'm very frustrated. I'm in my 4th reincarnation, I keep restarting the mission and no matter what I do, other civilizations always complete the first several wonders before me - usually less than a minute before me. I didn't have this problem in my previous reincarnations, even though I had slower research and less bonuses than now.
Weird glitch: The game suddenly told me: "You declared was on Assyrians!" We were in an alliance, we had a gracious relationship, I didn't click on anything, I was glad to have them on my side and suddenly we were at war. :(
nightingle, if you're reading this: you messaged me asking for help, but I can't reply to you, because your profile is private and we're not friends...
This is Part 1 of the game, it contains Chapters 1 to 3. Part 2 will be published in March.
For those that already played the game on Steam, there's a little extra content at the end of Chapter 1.
It's an RPG this time, with battles and all!
About 12 hours to play through to the end.
And then you can play again with the characters you didn't choose in your first playthrough and try out different battle tactics with them :)
Note: I decided to implement a preloader this time - it takes longer to load up initially, but the gameplay is much smoother now, with no more loading screens.
Enjoy!
If you've played the game before but you're missing some of the achievements for the second medium badge, here's a little help: 1) Ambiguous Achievement: Mother in Alacer village, 2) Clan Coalition: Chief Verax, 3) Switching Sides: Chief Pyromiles, 4) Greater Glory: the general in Praxipolis.
Once again for those getting a security error during the intro: This is an HTML5 game, so it uses Local Storage to save your progress. Flash games use cookies (similar thing) and you have most likely allowed them. Similarly, you need to enable local storage in your browser, otherwise you get an error. I just got an anonymous bug report from someone who doesn't have local storage enabled. This is not a bug, and I can't respond to anonymous reports.
I have removed the timing factor from the puzzles. It's a bit too easy now, in my opinion, as I think there's fun in a challenge, but if that's how players want it, who am I to dispute that.
@AngelEater138: Have you tried following the walkthrough text? (Chapter 2, Fourth Page)
@Master937: Well, it's a bad idea to step off the river into a dead end, when your wizard is dead :(
@DarrellW: That happens to some people, I can't figure out why. Try refreshing your browser or playing in a different browser...
@Lord_Salis: one of the walls in that corridor is an illusion. Check the walkthrough when you get stuck.
@ILoveBilly: the door is actually easier to force than the entrance. Can you perhaps craft a strength potion or somehow boost your fighter's strength?
@Azgara: there IS a recommended char build - after starting a new game, select Quick Start. As for the lack of a minimap - you can always open your normal map (press M) when you get confused.
@all: sorry about the occassional crash bugs - however, the game works completely fine on my computer (in various browsers, too) and on my friiends' computers.
Thanks everyone for the recent praise. However, the game was NOT received well, unfortunately, as you can see from the poor rating and number of game plays. I worked on it for half a year, and since all I'm getting for my work is about $20, I'm unlikely to put in more work (such as fixing the little bugs or make a sequel). I'm happy that a few people enjoy the game, if it only weren't just "a few" :)
@Cortillaen: Yes, the spellchain thingy is a little tricky... I'll have a look into it, but it will require quite some search through the code, and I'm rather busy at the moment. Please be patient.
@chantesoleil: there are enough keys in the temple of Stasia, so whatever order you use them in, you should be able to pass the area and get the scroll page. Study the map in this walkthrough :)
@WDDW: you make valid points, but please go ahead and try programming a better 3D environment in Flash (without using Unity, which many people can't run on their computers). And BTW, do it for free! :) I'm glad you're enjoying the game despite its imperfections.
@Manahimik: I think I will, eventually. It's much easier to make a game like those two you mentioned. Sorry about your nausea, I never imagined it could have such effect on some people.
