Thanks a lot for the kind feedback! I do wish I could make time to complete the sequel.. I made some progress with it but then Chrome killed off the Unity WebPlayer and I haven’t been able to afford the time to devote as much time to it as I would like. I plan to continue work on it once WebGL adopts WebAssembly across major browsers, then I can go fulltime webgame development again! :D

Alright, awesome. I thank you for the clarity and I look forward to the sequel of Undead Isle! And yeah, Chrome killing off the Unity WebPlayer drove me to using Firefox when I want to play games that require Unity WebPlayer. BUT, nonetheless, I am excited for the sequel and will be patiently waiting at the edge of my seat. :D

haha yeah thanks for noticing! i watched some let’s plays and noticed most players simply avoided the water completely, perhaps assuming it might just have reset them to a checkpoint or something ;)

I’ve been working in Unity for the past 3 years. I developed the games in this order: Motor Wars, Motor Wars 2, Undead Isle, Air Wars, Motor Toons, Martian Wars .. and right now I am working on Motor Wars 3 ;)

Yep, hackers are really annoying.. If you can send me a video or at least a screen shot, then I can then delete their accounts.

8GeCe8 is getting like 25 flag captures, one right after the other. His/her plane literally jumps across the screen in like 2 seconds. Not sure how to send you the screen shot.

We tried that for a while, but a lot of players were upset they could no longer choose which rooms they enter because they like to play with friends, and high level players never have others to play with, particularly during slow hours. So player majority voted in favor of having the balancing removed. I instead boosted XP rewards for doing damage to high level players, and made XP reward for high level killing low level extremely low. Also, I reduced the Armor upgrade 50%

lol. He means that there’s a lot of shit he has to do, and he would probably rather focus on implementing new mechanics than tedious minor balancing that will probably become irrelevant in the next update.

There haven’t been ANY new mechanics to the game, nothing has been done. I have seen the code, it hasn’t even changed. A simple “minor balancing” would be nothing but easy.

oh, the reason I cannot alter XP or Upgrades is because the game is already distributed. I would need to push the update to many sites which are unwilling to make changes, so I hesitate to make alterations which would effect balance when only a percentage of players would actually receive the update. Sorry if I wasn’t clear on this.

thanks man, you inspire me to continue work on the next chapter .. there will be several improvements – so do feel free to share your ideas .. thats my favorite thing about working as an Indie.. i get to listen to the players, instead of wealthy publishers who dont ever play games. lol. glad to meet and keep in touch and keep it real! -Steven
